First Look opinions????

I want to do a first look that way we can go ahead and get most of the pictures over with! But my fiance doesn't want to he wants to wait and see me when I walk down the aisle! What is y'alls opinions? Are y'all doing a first look?

I like the blindfolded first look idea as a compromise. Another option that a friend of mine did for her first look is she didn't wear her veil during their first look so there was still that surprise when she walked down the aisle. We are doing a first look, though - I want to get those nerves and raw emotions out of the way before the ceremony, and it definitely allows us to spend more time with family after the ceremony rather than having to take pictures after!

I am in the same boat! I want to do a first look and the FH does not. He is a logical guys so I am going to explain to him that by doing the first look we can do some of our pictures prior to the ceremony so that we can participate in the cocktail hours more.

We are not doing a first look. I want the first time he sees me to be when I walk down the aisle. I feel like there is so much more emotion this way.

I am not a fan of them either personally, and thankfully my FH isn't either. I see the benefit to doing them for the pictures... but we want that raw moment when I inevitably cry walking down the aisle.

We live together and are getting hotel rooms for the night before.

I'm doing a first look only because i want those moments to take it all in that he's about to be my husband and to potentially get my tears out of the way before i walk down the aisle.

So glad you were able to reach a decision!! I'd also suggest you ask your photog to get a picture of him when he first sees you walk out, it would be quite a special way to remember that moment forever, seeing his face as he sees you

I am choosing not to do first looks because I want the that wow factor when my fiance seeing me walking down the aisle. I thought about doing first looks to where he wouldn't actually see me; like me standing behind him or us holding hands from opposite sides of an open door.

I think it’s sweet your groom wants that moment. We all know the focus for the day will be on you (yay!), and since he’s mad about you- he’s on board with that. But it is a special day for him, too- so it’d be nice to honor his request. Regardless of what you decide the moment will be magical. Enjoy!
