First fight box?

FH and I are going to prepare a first fight box during the ceremony but neither of us drink alcohol. Any ideas on what we can put into the box besides wine/alcohol? Sparkling grape juice maybe?

I'd be more apt to smash the box then open it and read something. That's just the way my temper rolls. I've never heard of a fight box but it seems super weird.

I agree with using an anniversary box instead of a fight box. I have seen people write letters to one another and seal them in the box and then on your anniversary read them to each other.

I love the idea of a first fight box. Yes, my fiancé and I have had many many many fights prior to our engagement, but the significance of the box is to remind eachother why we got married. Idk why everyone is hating on this idea. In response to your question: sparkling cider! Love letters! Photos from your wedding day!

I want to do something similar to the fight box but for our five year anniversary. We dont drink much either but I think we will just write a note and maybe put in a wine that will taste better with age. Since I think any other drink would be flat and gross by then.

@Aurelia-- what entails a truce bell ceremony? I'm intrigued!

I agree with the others on an anniversary box vs fight box, planning for a fight attracts one and does seem negative and is used to salvage a marriage. An anniversary box promotes the marriage and reminds a couple why they got hitched and to continue in that pattern.

We're calling it a wine box ceremony as well. FH and I don't really argue, but even if we did, the wine box is only a 'Open in case of divorce contemplation' thing. Since that's not really a factor for either of us, we're opening it every anniversary to share the wine and read the letters / write new ones. I bought us small notebooks to keep all the letters together and it'll be a record of our journey together.

If you don't drink, I'd put in something sparkling...Or, since the juice won't help nearly as much as the alcohol, you could do an empty bottle and put your messages directly inside them.
