Are you having your first dance as a married couple before dinner (after you get introduced), or right after dinner?

We are doing ours right after we get introduced. After dinner, we're gonna kick off the dancing with the anniversary dance.

After dinner!!! My bff had hers planned for before and things went awry and the guests ended up waiting two hours+ to eat. They were not overjoyed to see the bride and groom dance before dinner. I agree it would be choppy if it went dance dinner dance. We are going to be introduced, have our food, and then dance the night away!

Before dinner. After dinner we are doing parent dances which will then open the dance floor.

We're getting introduced, dinner & cake will be cut so guests aren't hangry lol, and then going into our first dance to open up the dance floor without interruptions. I feel that doing the first dance immediately creates a sort of energy that you have to build up a second time if you sit down to eat afterwards.

Due to finances we are only having our photographer for a couple hrs so we are doing formal photos while our guests have cocktail hr and eat apps and then we're joining cocktail hr and doing bouquet toss. Then having everyone take their seat doing first dance, father daughter dance, and cutting the cake. Then we are starting the buffet. All told it will only be about 15 minutes between guests being seated and buffet being opened. Plus since my wedding is on a Sunday and I have a lot of kids coming it gets all the formalities out of the way so people can leave when they need to and not feel they have to stay to see me cut a cake or something so after dinner it is dance eat dessert whenever stay as long as you want and be happy
