First Dance - Before or After Dinner?

We will most likely do it before dinner, actually this is the first time I'm hearing of them being done after dinner, that's very cool and different. But I think before dinner would work best for us.

If I have it my way, before dinner. Get the nerves out of the way. If my FH has it his way, after we eat. He will be starving.

I'm keeping it traditional. Once the bridal party comes in to be introduced. We get introduced and do the first dance. Dinner will be served immediately after. We will have appitizers served before hand

Before. We're going right into it after being introduced into the reception.

I wasn't sure about this to begin with, but after reading through all the comments, I think we may do it before. Guests will eat plenty of appetizers during the cocktail hour while we take pictures and after our grand entrance, we'll go straight into our first dance, welcome speech, and then dinner/lunch!

Before, we are doing a little bit of a first dance as well as a dance with all of the couples at our wedding!

I think before entrance out dance parents dance dinner and speeches.
We have people with health conditions so I want them to be able to leave if they want to.

Aww that sounds so fun!! What a cute idea!

I'm thinking, we enter, we dance and then pray and dismiss tables to the buffet. Luckily hor d'oeuvres and drinks will be served in the meantime. That should hold people over until then hopefully!
