Finding Vendors closer to my venue

Go to thumbtack if you need to for more local folks in certain circumstances.

That looks like a wonderful location to celebrate a wedding but maybe not a good situation for vendors. Is it possible to find companies and individuals local to the area who don't normally do services for weddings and events? Does the venue have restrictions on vendors?

Does your venue happen to have a list of recommendations for vendors? Our venue did and I found it helpful.

Hello Alli use the wedding wire app and once you put in your zip code and you should be able to find the vendors you want and also look for city towns that are closer and with smaller commute to where your venue is located adding no extra services charges. It just seems to me it would take the address into consideration and the results would be provided closest to furthest. I was getting ready to book a wedding cake only to find out she was to far away to make it work

I'm not sure why this is happening as I didn't have an issue, but I also got married at a venue that's already on Wedding Wire so it knew exactly where it's located whereas maybe it's confused for some reason as to where your wedding is taking place. You could also try looking on The Knot.

A friend delivered a wedding cake maybe 20 to 30 miles away. I cannot imagine delivering a cake in a 4 hour trip -- each way. It seems this wedding may require a bit more work by family and guests. (But maybe not everyone is that far away). There may still be good vendors closer. Maybe check with nearby hotels and restaurants. Or search with vendors not on wedding sites.

It seems that the bakery has the easy task this time. Hope vendors can be found quickly for your other requirements.

Eventective.com and Thumbtack.com are great starting places. Also Google and Yelp.
