Final walkthrough and meeting at venue

Stacy, on November 7, 2014 at 10:35 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

Tomorrow is our final meeting and walkthrough at our venue. We are having both our ceremony and reception there (it's at a hotel.) They recently had another wedding cancel and upgraded us to a new cocktail hour room and reception room. This will be our first time seeing the rooms with our venue contact there with us.

I was just wondering, those who have already been through this, are there any questions you may have forgot to ask or wish you would have asked during your last walkthrough?

Thank you!

Oh we just went through this. We are having our ceremony and reception at the same place as well. Basically the girl walked us through the entire thing start to finish with every detail imaginable.

-What time will you arrive/can you arrive?

-Where each person will get ready (assuming bridal party is getting ready there? We have two rooms at our venue)

-What exactly the venue staff is doing, what exactly each vendor is doing. Our venue sets up chairs, lighting, stage, tables, linens, and tables/linens for caterer. But they can't serve food/cut cake/etc

-We gave the venue coordinator a list of each of our vendors and the contacts

    -The schedule/timeline of the day

-Who is in charge of tear down/clean up?

I wish I had asked exactly who will be there on my day so I can have a name the day of and if there are any events in the morning being held the day of my wedding. (We booked the entire place from 12pm - 12am) We are going to follow up with that.

Thanks @Dani! I wouldn't have thought to ask for who will be there on my day either, I am adding it to my list of questions now!
