Fiancé(e) Friday! Love at first sight, or not quite? 😍

Happy Friday!! What was your very first impression of your future spouse? Did you get immediate butterflies or did you start as friends? How did that first meeting go down? Was it love at first sight? Or not quite yet! ❤️ Photo by Jessie Leigh Photography in San Diego, CA

    I met my fiancé at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. I was pretty sick of partying, but a dear friend of mine convinced me to go with her, and I still loved the music so I decided to go. At the end of the night I spotted Carlos about 20 feet away and he instantly looked like the nice, interesting guy I was looking for. I stood right next to him and we clicked instantly after he started talking to me. A party was the last place I expected to find someone like him, but we still love to go out sometimes and enjoy our similar tastes in music that brought us together Smiley smile

    He's everything I've ever dreamed of. He pursued me but we've been best friends since kindergarten. He fell in love first

    We met at work. She says that as soon as she saw me she had to get to know me. But I'm not one to be very social when I don't know anyone. So I didn't ever give her anything to go off of so that she could get to know me. It took a VERY long time for her to even get my number. I literally had no clue she even had feelings for me. We were friends for awhile before she gave me any indication (that I knew of). So I would say it was potentially love at first sight for her, but I was completely oblivious. I always thought she was cute but never thought anything more than that.

    It definitely was not love at first sight, but i knew he was the one after our first date. My friends had to convince me to go out with him and it was the best decision i have ever made. 6 months to go 1/19/2020!

    Definitely hard core crush! I was only 15 and he was 18 and just starting a new relationship, so we stayed kind of in touch. Finally reconnected once both were single (I was 21) and together ever since! 7 years together!

    We started at a new high school together. Met freshman year in math class. Oh, he was the cutest (looked exactly like my celeb crush bow wow) but when he tried to talk to me I didn't give him the time of day. He was the popular class clown and I was the pretty "ice princess" as most would say. Fast forward to the summer after freshman year of college, I randomly slid into his DM's went on a date the next day and now here we are almost 9 years later.

    Neither one of us was looking for anything serious when we first started dating...we had both been thru nasty divorces and just wanted to have some fun with someone. We always say how we never expected to be planning a wedding 5 years later....

    The first impression was that he was short Smiley xd . He's about a half in taller than I am. But after that, I was pretty smitten. We went bowling on our first date (a blind date) and spent four hours bowling. We just clicked!

    Oh my goodness i was totally smitten the second I saw him! We met online and chatted a bit there first but he sent me a photo of he and his daughter and he was so handsome! We met later that week at a Starbucks and have not stopped getting butterflies for each other since!

    I met my fiance at the Cotton Eyed Joe (was a friend of a friend who invited me, we all went to the same college). It was the time that I was loving the single life and really didn't want the drama of being with someone at the time. He was really nice and cool, I thought he danced really well. I said that all we would be is really good friends. I didn't find him unattractive, but wasn't necessarily attracted to him at that moment. We started hanging out almost every day after that and I started falling for him. So, it wasn't love at first sight, but I definitely felt really comfortable around him. He apparently liked me from the beginning. Smiley xd

    My fiance and I started as friends. I was (unhappily) married at the time but even when I first saw him, I thought he was cute. I wouldn't have tried anything though because although unhappy, I was still legally married. The more time we hung out, the more I started to like him. At this point I had already told my now ex-husband that I wanted a divorce (for different reasons).

    The closer we grew together and the more stuff we got to know about each other, he had been there for me and we just hit it off. With the upmost respect, he had waited until my divorce and then things just kind of sky rocketed after that. He's literally the best thing that's happened to me ever since and I couldn't be happier.

    Love at first sight for him not so much for me. I don’t even remember much the first time I saw him. After a couple of dates we shared our first kiss and for me it was love at first kiss. I knew he was the one after that first kiss.

    It was immediate for both of us...at the time we met though he was casually dating my friend!! It was 1985 and I was 15 and he had just turned 20. She wasn't that into him and saw the spark with us and encouraged it. It was electric then and he still looks at me like he did then

    I saw him in the back of the cafeteria where we worked in college and I just knew I had to talk to him eventually. Our first conversation was a very one sided conversation on my part almost at the end of the semester and he listened patiently while I vented. Then the next semester we had the same shift again and I eventually got the nerve to ask him to coffee which he agreed to and the rest is history. I knew he was one when he would always come over my apartment and never leave until the early hours of the morning.

    FH actually calls it "love at first words" - since he heard me before he saw me.

    It was absolutely love at first sight for me, since I saw him and said, "You're a Phillies fan, too? The Marlins are killing us right now!" (...Some things have NOT changed, ow.)

    Aaaaaaaaaaand then it was 20 minutes of talking about baseball, except for a brief interlude when I freaked out about how young he was, and it took us less than 2 weeks to end up together.

    Texted my dad and my "sister" the day we met, "I just met the perfect guy, but there's a catch."
    "Sister": "...Is he gay?"

    Me: "No."

    "Sister": "...Is he taken?"
    Me: "No."

    "Sister": "...What the *bleep* is the problem?"

    Me: "...HE IS 22!!"
    "Sister": "...ST!U. It's fine."
