I am not looking forward to going dress shopping. All my family lives in Texas and I live in NC. I don't have any friends here either. My bridesmaid lives in MO so I can't have her come either. Any other brides not have anyone to go dress shopping with?

I think you should have someone go with you. It's not just about opinion, but about support. Someone else should see you in the dress and be able to compliment you. If you don't have family or friends, you should have your wedding planner come with you. She should be more than willing and will be able to offer you the support you need.

I was going to go alone as well but then I decided to take FH with me since he was helping me pick the dress, he's been very helpful, after all his opinion was the only one I really needed since I'm wearing the dress for him.

I saw your site, looks like you have plenty of time in front of you, I hope you find some help before then, good luck

I bet you could find another bride to go with you if you look. My MOH and BM happen to both live in NC. I however am in FL so I am in the same boat as you are.

I did it alone as well. I admit I felt a little bummed when I saw girls showing up with an entorage but in the end I liked only havinal my opinion to worry about and I got so much attention from the bridal consultants it made up for being by myself. The other sad part for me was when I met with the seamtress and she said I would need someone with me at my final appointment to show them how to do my bustle. I thought I would cry then. But she said we could add in one final appointment so that when my mom flies in the week before the wedding she could come in and see how to do it. So all in all I'm feeling pretty good about everything.

I did it alone, and was glad I did. You can always take pics and post them!
