February wedding.

Hello!

Has anyone had a wedding in February? Or getting married in February? My wedding isn’t till feb 2022, however, I’m starting to stress the weather! Will it rain? 😒 I have an outside ceremony with harp music.

Hi love! i was intimidated by february because it tends to be so rainy. therefore, i backed mine up a few weeks and my date landed mid-january. it is, however, good luck if it rains on your wedding day 😉 you guys could always get tents or the cute clear umbrellas (these make for beautiful wedding photos). there really is no guarantee if it will rain or not, but its always good to have a back up plan. you can move the date or you can prepare for the worst and hope for the best. good luck to you guys!!!

Depends on where you live. Search online and check the average rainfall for February in that city. That’s the best you can do because you’re not going to know the weather until you’re much closer to your date. Outside events are always risky and naturally add an additional layer of stress. So be sure to have a plan B for wet weather.

It can always rain any time of year! You just have to hope for the best and have a backup plan indoors.

Agreed. I'd be more worried about the cold. Depending on where you live, it might be too cold to have an outdoor ceremony. Your guests would be very uncomfortable being outside in the cold especially if it were to snow.

I got married this past February, but we had it indoors. It was SO COLD that day, I'm glad we did. I also wanted to get married in nature, but found a really beautiful space and used moss and vines to bring the woods inside.

I got married in February. I live in Southern California where it rarely rains, got married in the desert, and it still rained on our wedding day. Luckily it didn’t start until after we wrapped up.

You just never know. Definitely have a backup plan but hopefully you won’t need it.

I got married in February, but we are in Georgia it was about 60 degrees and sunny. If I were you, I would make sure that my venue has a plan B option. Rain on your wedding day means fertility and cleansing. I have seen some amazing rainy wedding photos.

I would suggest having a rain/cold plan with an indoor venue, just because it would be windy, rainy, or too cold very easily in Feb.

Thanks! We’re from SD too but we got married in Palm Springs. I believe it is good luck but always good to be prepared for any weather. Best wishes on your planning journey!
