February 2022 Brides and Grooms....let's chat!!

Hi! We were able to reschedule for February. Our date is 02/02/2022. I pray we finally have our dream wedding. We are now eloping to Jamaica and doing everything at the beautiful Sandals Royal Plantation resort. I didn't want a beach wedding because it doesn't fit our theme and my gown is not sand appropriate ( I can see my train just dragging sand with it like a wake on a boat. Lol!). We will marry in a Victorian style Gazebo that is on a terrace that juts out towards the ocean. Our theme is Victorian, obviously. My gown is a very full pale blush ballgown in a shade named pink champagne. Since we are now going to Jamaica, we went with real touch flowers instead of real. I'll attach our color palette. I've attached pics of my gown, our venue, color palette, custom invitations, my day of wedding purse, my Groom's attire, our cake topper ( we now have two other fur babies, but the topper people are closed), my day of makeup look, and I can't remember what else. I'm recovering from covid if I'm a bit slow on replies. I just wanted you to know you aren't being ignored. I'm still sleeping about 16 hours a day.

What is your theme? Where are you getting married? Have you had to reschedule? What are your colors? What do plan on having your bouquet and boutonnière's look like? I'd love to see gown pics if anyone is willing to share. At this point my gown is no longer top secret. ha ha How are you wearing your hair? Please share anything you wish.
We are all getting close to that 90 day mark and I'm getting nervous. I still have my veil to finish. So much was put on the back burner with us having to reschedule and then my having a severe case of covid. I look forward to meeting each of you. 🥰❤

It’s called Heritage Hotel in Southbury,CT. Our date is our 5 year dating anniversary. This is my dress before alterations. We’re including a lot of Marvel aspects and colors are wine and pinks mostly.

It’s not destination for us as it’s 30 minutes from where we live, but it’s 2.5 hours for most guests. We’re doing it at Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT and everyone can book a room.

That sounds really good It's great your guests will have somewhere to stay. I want to do ours at an island that is a 20 minute boat ride from my town. There is plenty of places to stay on the island too . I like the ideas of Marvel stuff - what kind of stuff are you thinking? I like your dress too by the way

Okay that is seriously cool My brother had Star Wars cufflinks and when they come in to their reception they had the Star Wars music as they entered . Love the personalised socks too

LOL!!! You are so funny!! ❤ It'll come to me, eventually. I'm just happy to chat with others who love the same things I love. Dying to see your gown with the pink and/or blush tulle! I also bought a hoop skirt although my skirt has lots of that heavy horsehair netting and doesn't need it, but I thought it'd help keep me from tripping on the stairs. I had some gorgeous Jimmy Choos's made with 5 different shades of pink glitter and the 6th color is silver. Well, they have a leather sole and the wedding planner said a rubber sole would be better once I reach the marble that the gazebo sits upon. So I'm just wearing something pretty, but not over the top as my 1st pair.

Oooh you must share pics of your gorgeous Choos! It looks like we share a love of designer shoes as well as pink, haha! I am wearing a pair of nude Louboutins to walk down the aisle in, as I was wearing a black pair when I met fiance at a fancy charity ball. Like you, they're not super convenient for our venue, which has grass, but I've organised some live-edge wood pieces for us to stand on so the ladies don't sink into the grass - like this!
I wanted rounds, but I couldn't get them, so instead we bought one long piece of tree that we cut into the necessary slices.

It's an island about 20 minutes boat ride from my home town. It has quite a number of different bays and 5 of them are inhabited with people. It is tropical and beautiful and very relaxing. It has all kinds of accommodation and restaurants but no fast food chains or anything like that . It is quiet and relaxing (I said that twice but it is ). You can watch beautiful sunsets and listen to the waves roll in as you go to sleep.

Here is a pic from the Website of my shoes, or shoe in this instance. It's been discontinued, and I used FARFETCH to buy them from a shop in Milan. Lol! I absolutely adore them and since both myself and my groom are 5'10", there is no way I'm wearing heels. Vanity is going to get me, yet. ha ha

Mmmm... that is my type of shoe! LOVE!
here are mine, with my fiance's -
I think I bought them only a month or two after we got engaged back in June 2020, so I've been waiting a long time to wear them. I do secretly go and try them on sometimes, just on the carpet, haha!
