Me too! I needed a date that my fiancee could easily remember. He's not good at remembering dates.

Our date is 2/28/2020! Originally we were looking at mid March since I work in education and would have the last two weeks of March off for the wedding and honeymoon and then we would always have the time off for our anniversary. Once we chose our venue though we realized that we could save $600 by picking a date in February. Since we were flexible and we could still go on our honeymoon in March we decided to pick a date in February. I didn't even think about it being a leap year, plus the 29th was already taken. We went with the 28th because FH has Friday's off. I told him at least it shouldn't be a problem to remember our anniversary this way; it's almost always the last day of the month.

We also picked feb 9, 2020 and getting married in Vegas. I did not realize it was National Pizza Day!!!! That's pretty cool. Our original wedding date in January, three biggest convention in Dallas was going on and prices were super inflated. So when picking our backup date we did not pick it for any particular reason than its cheaper in Feb and on a Sunday to have a wedding. We wanted to avoid super bowl and valentine's day.

We are getting married February 29th 2020. Leap day. We met 11 years ago on February 28th so this is the day we currently celebrate our anniversary. We are very adventurous so we thought February 29th would be a perfect day for us and our personalities. We will still celebrate on February 28th and on our actual anniversary every four years we will go on a big big trip.


I think people think we're crazy getting married on leap year day but I think it's fun and quirky.

Same!!! We loved that the date is a palindrome. We chose to do a brunch wedding since it's a Sunday and we went to brunch on our first date so it has some significance in our relationship.

We’re getting married February 24, 2020!
It’s my uncles birthday and my color is purple to honor my grandmother. They both passed away 3 years ago and this is my way of them still being there with me.
