February 2018 San Diego (La Jolla) Wedding

Would a February (Presidents Day) wedding (ceremony and cocktail hour outside) be too cold/risky for rain??

I'm not sure. But I did want to say that I visited La Jolla a few years back while on vacation, and it absolutely beautiful there. So jealous.

Considering it's so pretty out there, you can have those stand up heaters.

I don't think its tacky if they are placed in the corners.

I would just advise by word of mouth that its outdoors to bring a jacket, not on the invite.

There's always a risk, but I think you'd be ok in San Diego. Just have a backup plan so that if you need to use it, you're ready.

I'm in San Diego and I doubt there's a day that's truly uncomfortable outside in February.

What time of day are you thinking ? Evenings can get a little breezy, especially close to the water .

You may be ok, but make sure to have a backup plan. Most venues will let you know your options as well.

Evenings can be downright chilly. Make sure to have a back up plan and heaters.

I shoot many wedding in San Diego. Sure there is a risk, but the odds are against you that it will be such a foul weather day to the point it ruins your wedding. Regardless, the smart thing to do would be to have a back up just in case. Just this past weekend I did a wedding at Menifee Lakes Country club. The ceremony was suppose to be outside, but it was cold and rainy all weekend. The backup plan was to move the wedding indoors. So they did, it was fine, and was a beautiful wedding. IT's better to have a backup plan like that and not need it, than to need it and not have one.
