Favors: Do i need one for every guest?

Michelle, on April 10, 2018 at 10:20 AM Posted in Planning 1 12

I am doing succulents as favors, and as my fiancé so loving pointed out....some may not want them. lol Ordering them soon, I love them so I won't mind having some leftovers...but I'm not sure how many I should buy. I was thinking 60-100, and we are inviting 200. I don't wanna look like a jerk and not have enough, but was thinking one per couple? What's the protocol on favors...

We are doing succulents too! We're putting them in teacups and setting them on each guests dinner place. Everyone will be getting one. I mean if you had them all out on a table so people could grab one if they wanted that might work. Succulents are awesome, so I'd be worried that everyone would want one.

You should have enough so that if every single person wanted one they could have one- or you should at minimum have enough that if every single unit of people (mr. Jackson and guest) wanted one they could have one.

I’d do one per person as well. I LOVE succulents and would definitely want one for myself and FH. Lol

I would do one for each guest. It's better to have some left over rather than have some guests upset they weren't able to get one.

I think you need one per person. Do not order less than your total in hopes that some people won't take them. If you do one per couple you should label them or somehow indicate this as I could see many people thinking it is one per person and you may run out.

What happens if you don't get enough and everyone did want one? If you are doing favors, you should have one for every person.

One for every guest even though not all will take them. I personally don't like them, so neither my DH or I would take one, but with any favor you need to have enough for all.

I personally would buy enough for each guest. Because it’s better to have enough than not enough. You don’t want to run out and some guests want one of your favors. Honestly those succulent plants from what I’ve seen have always been a big hit. I think to be safe get 1 for each guest.

I agree that you should have one per person or couple. Could you integrate the place cards in with them somehow? Like have a card sticking out of the pot or as a sticker around it? So it would say Mr. and Mrs. Jones and that place card would be connected to one succulent. Then it would be clear that it's one per couple.

Love the idea of using them as a place card! Thanks!

I agree, it's each person's choice how they handle it, but in my opinion, if you are going to do wedding favors do them for each guest or don't do them at all.
