Faux Pas or Nah: Texting the bride or groom on the wedding day?

How do you feel about texting the bride or groom on the wedding day? Do you think you should ask someone else and not bother them? Or do you think it’s ok to send a sweet message the morning of the wedding day to be nice or texting with last minute updates? Photo by Ryon:Lockhart Photography in NY...

Depends on who it is. I would have had a point person or my MOH really take care of those things. I'd probably put it on my website that on the wedding day, if anyone has any concerns, questions, gift related concerns on the actual wedding day, yada yada yada, that they should contact ________. You know what I mean? I only would want to receive calls pertaining to my FH, and my children, or my wedding party if it's serious or urgent.

Nah as long as it is something sweet and does not require something to be done.

There are only 5 people I would respond to:

    1) My FH

    2) My parents

    3) My sister or best friend (both matrons of honor)

    4) My grandpa who isn't able to travel anymore

    5) My two aunts who are a huge part of the decorating process

If what you are texting doesn't require any response. Then sure send the text. Just don't text them constantly and if it's a question (unless you are in the bridal party) ask someone else.

Please don't bug me or distract me from the mile-long list I'll have to do that day or at least feel like it's a mile-long. I'll hand my phone over to someone else to respond to them.

If it's a sweet congratulatory message or something along those lines, it would be appreciated by anyone. Don't text stuff that will stress them out.
