Fasting before Wedding

Is anyone fasting before the wedding? The reason I ask is because a friend of mines is getting married in 2 weeks and she started fasting. I feel that it will be a wrong thing to do. What if you get so exhausted and faint from not eating. she wants to keep the weight off so her dress can still fit....

I wanted you ladies opinions?

If she doesn't eat at all for two weeks she will die.

Tell her to not be lazy, work out, eat healthy. That will help with pre-wedding stress as well. While starving herself will mess up every single function of her body, including her mental capability to deal with stress and anxiety. She'll end up in the hospital and ruin her wedding day.

    Just sayin'.

Fasting on its own isn't necessarily bad so long as you're still getting the proper nutrients. Tell her to just stick to water and fruit smoothies and take a daily multivitamin if she doesn't already. That will help her cut off some extra weight but it'll keep her body functioning. A healthy diet and proper exercise is always the better option, though.

As a anoerexic whose as close as she can get to recovery, I can tell yiou that 'fasting' is not something to be taken lightly. while two weeks probably wont do anyt permanet damage...theres still risk of dehydration, UTI, sickness...and worst of exhaustion. your body becomes so drained...in fact, that was one of my 'tricks' to stop eating was i would be SO TIRED. that i just slept thru all mealtimes. I definately do not reccomend fasting 2 weeks beforehand. also- if she breaks the fast, she will most likely binge eat and store the fat after having had deprived her body

This is sooo why I'm working my butt off at the gym right now. My snack at work today was green beans... when its down to the final countdown for my wedding I want to be able to enjoy my bachelorette, bridal shower and wedding without worrying if the dress will fit. If my bridesmaids want to eat pizza and drink wine as we finish the last minute DIY stuff I want to be able to eat with them guilt free! The idea of starving myself before the wedding sounds so depressing. I hope your friend looks good on her wedding day and doesn't suffer any unfortunate side effects at wedding time.
