Farm wedding

Nicole, on August 30, 2017 at 8:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

FH and I just got invited to a wedding for one of our friends that's about a month away. I looked up the venue and it's in a backyard on an actual farm. My question is, what on earth do I wear? It's all dirt, no grass, and it's in October, which is super cold here.

    Maybe dress pants and sandals?

Leggings and a pretty dress with a cardigan? Flats or boots without a heel definitely.

My wedding is in October, on a farm. But our farm has grass. I have been telling guest "casual dressy" no heels due to sinking in grass but wedges are okay. A maxi dress sweater combo might be nice or a jumper with a sweater. There are plenty of cute long sleeve dresses you could shop for but some cute high boots and boot socks.

I mean, how cold is "super cold"? I second leggings and a casual dress, with a dressy cardigan and flats.

@Carousel it usually ranges somewhere around 50-55 during the daytime, and the wedding is in the evening so it'll be cooler once the sun goes down

@Carousel I'm not sure, but I'm really hoping they rent a tent or something lol

Dresses are not a must! I live in Oregon and if my wedding was after October I would not expect any one too fancy!! put on your best jacket, cute knitted headwarmer, a scarf, whatever's clever!!

Amazon has some great long sleeve maxi dresses for cheap. I actually just ordered a dress last night because the outdoor wedding we are going to on Friday is supposed to be unseasonably cool and I'm not ready to freeze my butt off. I got a really cute long sleeve swing dress for $35 with one day shipping.

I'd say tights, dress, and thick heeled boots or wedge boots. Also if you are into it a cute pantsuit with a thick heel/wedge or something covered...I wouldn't suggest sandals because dirt+sandals=gross
