False lashes - yay or nay?

From what I've seen so far, people on WW really seem to love false lashes. But do I really need them? I'm sure it looks better in photos, but I have pretty thick/long natural lashes as it is. I've never worn false lashes and I think I would just be very uncomfortable! What if they fall off? Or I cry...

I've never worn false lashes and I think I would just be very uncomfortable! What if they fall off? Or I cry too much? Or it feels like they're poking me in the eyes? Even if none of that happens, I'd be thinking about it all night, haha.

What if you looked into lash growth options? Like there's the kind that vibrates which encourages growth, and there's the kind that you coat on daily and it strengthens and thickens the proteins in your natural lashes.

I was against lashes until my own makeup trial. They looked awesome and in pictures apparently they look much more natural than in person. Even a person with thick eyelashes can look washed out and plain in front of a professional camera. My makeup and lashes felt weird at first because I don't usually wear so much but I took pictures in bright lighting to simulate the pro pictures and it barely looked like I had anything. As far as how they feel- for me they just made my eyes feel heavy as if I were sleepy. But then after 10-15 min I got used to it and didn't feel like anything.

    I really recommend them!

Yay, yay, YAY. I'm a makeup artist/hairstylist and i do a tonnnn of weddings, and false lashes make such a difference in photos and really up the glam. I'm wearing them for my too, obviously. Smiley tongue

Properly trimmed to fit your eye shape and applied, they shouldnt be uncomfortable. You can also do half lashes (just on the outer edge of the lashline) to still give your lashes a bit of extra something in a way that is a bit more comfortable than a full strip lash.

I like to use cruelty-free mink lashes from a company called the glammed lashes - they're SUPER soft and a lot more lightweight than the more common synthetic lashes from ardell and such. The band is a thin strip of soft fabric rather than the plastic-based band you find on other brands. I find they're a lot more comfortable. They are significantly more expensive though (but they last for probably 20-30 wears) -- around $30-$40 per pair, which may not be worth it to everyone. I usually stock up when they have 50% off or bogo sales. I'm wearing their Kylie lash for my wedding.

Regardless of what you end up going with, ask your makeup artist to put lashes on at your trial and wear them around to get used to the feeling.

I want to try them for mine. My eyelashes are super short so I need a ton of mascara to make them long. Also, I'm s huge baby and know I will probably end up crying off and on all night, so it's one less thing I have to worry about turning me into a raccoon Smiley winking

I had never worn them before but had them for my wedding and couldn't even tell they where there once she put them on. My stylist uses the individual ones instead of the long strip which I think makes a huge difference.

I say... YAY! I had NEVER worn them before. Not once, not even for Halloween until my bridal portrait session. I also have naturally long and thick lashes so didn't think I needed them. The makeup artist convinced me to give them a try and WOW. They look stunning in pictures. I wore them for my wedding day too. They are weird at first, but you get used to them very quickly!

Def Yay! It'll make your eyes pop! Here is a pic of my before and after so you can see the difference. Mine felt a little weird but once the glue dried up, I didn't feel anything at all.

I'm super sensitive with things around my eyes and usually can't do the stick on ones. I've had extensions a couple times though with no problems and they look great!

I was originally really against them. I also have pretty thick and long lashes and thought I didn't need false lashes. My MUA convinced me to try though, and I have to admit they look amazing in photos. I thought they might look too over the top, but you can cut them in a way that is tasteful. Try 'em out and see how you feel.

Do it! I sell Younique and love my fiber lashes and I can achieve the false eye lash look with the mascara however... I'm going with false lashes and can't wait to play around with them with my MUA!

I'm not a fan, but I have pretty lush eye lashes naturally. I've tried them, but didn't care for the feel or look on me. FMP totally rocks them. So, try them and see how they work on you.

I have pretty long thick eyelashes, but I tried falsies during my trial and loved them. I got used to them after about 5 minutes and they looked great at the wedding!

I say yay! I wore them for my wedding and if they're the ones that are almost individual pieces they're very comfortable to wear.

I had never worn them until the day of my wedding. DH always talks about how much he hates fake eyelashes. My bridesmaid talked me into them. They were simple, nothing over the top. Took about an hour to get use to them then I couldn't feel them. Bonus was DH liked them also.
