Fall weddings

Dessye, on May 17, 2020 at 4:27 PM Posted in Planning 1 20
Anyone else feeling good about things opening up and hoping by fall we can still enjoy all the fall weddings? I’m happy I didn’t cancel or change my date!

Yes!! I live in Ohio and I’m starting to feel less stressed about it all. Don’t get me wrong I’m still worried about what could happen but I’m feeling better about not canceling/moving our day.

I’m in coastal Virginia and we are still planning on having our full wedding. November 21st!
At this point we are finishing small details and fine tuning some other things. All the big planning parts are done ❤️

Yes! We are getting married in Tulsa, OK on October 17th, 2020 and I feel a lot better now. If all goes well in phase two of reopening, Tulsa will be starting phase 3 on June 1st

Yes!!! I’m from MA, getting married in NH. MA was hit a lot harder than NH but I think they’re doing a great job with phasing everything and I’m remaining optimistic for our November 21st wedding. I will admit at the start of all of this I was nervous, got in a bit of a funk but now I’m back in the swing of things 😀 I have also accepted that things just may be a little different, and that’s ok!

We are getting married in October in Minnesota! Minnesota is taking it's time reopening, but I am feeling optimistic! Once my FH and I decided we would get married no matter what on our day, it made me feel a lot better. But I am feeling optimistic and planning like normal 😊

We have a STD for DH's cousin in the fall, up in VT.

The problem is, we are in the NYC metro area, so, honestly? We are not terribly hopeful. We really want to go, but we aren't even in Phase 1, yet.
    It's hard.

We are scheduled for 10/10 in the South (we live in the Northeast) and I think there is a decent chance that we will be able to have the wedding in the fall. But I'm not sure if it will be "safe", particularly because our 3 grandmothers will be there. I would hate to get anyone sick, especially them.

How do all y'all feel about this gray area of "we can, but we maybe shouldn't"?

We have a backup date in April and I'm kind of feeling like we maybe should postpone so other people can have their weddings first and we can see how it goes from a virus-transmission perspective. Anyone else feel this way?

We are planning to decide one way or another in July. Kind of just hanging on til then!

What area in PA I live in Allentown and we have been hit hard. I'm still on the fence. I have a second date saved with my vendor for May 8, 2021, just incase. We have a stay at home order till July 17th. After that date we go to yellow so not sure when they will go to green and allow gatherings.

Perkasie, PA, in Bucks County. We’ve been in close contact with our venue and they are optimistic for fall weddings. I know they’re still in the red zone right now, but we have a whole summer ahead of us. FH and I decided if that no matter what happens, whether we can only host 25 people or our original 130 guests, we are getting married October 4, 2020. We’ve waited long enough and have been together long enough that we don’t want to wait anymore.
I hope it works out for you! I really feel that by end of summer we will be okay!

We are so unsure what to do. Live in MA and the June wedding was just canceled.

We have the choice of rescheduling this August or October. Some want it in October because this will all be gone by then and the others want it in August because they think wave #2 will hit hard in the fall.

Got two days to decide and we are leaning in August but just have no idea

I am in Ohio too and I am feeling a little better. I may be moving my wedding ceremony only to Stan Hywet just in case. Because my venue will not allow us to Marry without a reception. I was originally going to photos at the CLE old court house but now not sure. I have 165 days to go. There HAS to be more than 50 allowed by then. I saw the news today one company had a successful trial vaccine on 8 humans. That produced anti-bodies. The last phase 3 will be in July. If in Oct folks are still uncomfortable and don't want to come then that is fine too.

I’m hoping we can get married in November in Virginia. We’ve already had to cancel our March date and I haven’t put any effort into our new date yet.

We're planning 10/10/20 and based on our location, I'm feeling good about things. Even if there is a 2nd wave of this Covid, I just don't think the world will shut down again. I have faith and will take each day as it comes and not let the stress of something I have zero control in take over my thoughts and mental well-being.
