Fall wedding flowers

The most helpful advice I got was not setting myself up for any particular flowers. My florist said it can be tricky based on time of year or even a bad batch of flowers that gets delivered. Instead, I pulled lots of inspiration photos and talked over colors and general feel/shape, and am letting her choose the flowers that will work best. She said that she's stopped promising specific flowers unless they're something always available like roses because otherwise it just sets brides up for disappointment. I loved her honesty and trust her implicitly! I'm getting married next weekend with a blush/ivory/greenery palette and can happily share photos after.

We wedding is 11/23/2019, so the same time of year as yours. Our colors are burgundy, navy, and mauve with gold accents. We told our florist that we didn’t care about the type of flowers, we were fine with whatever was in season and reasonably priced within our color palette. Here are the inspiration photos we provided and the flowers she recommended and we chose. We didn’t choose any navy flowers because they all looked very artificial.

I agree- I went into my consultation with little expectations on having the exact flowers I wanted. You never know what's in season, what your florist's supply will look like, etc.

My florist was the same way, I described what I was looking for, and she showed me what would be available in December.

My colors are navy (suits), dusty rose (dresses), green (greenery from florals), and maybe some rose gold. We’re having a lot of seasonal greenery (I just LOVE the smell and look of fresh cedar and pine) but haven’t consulted about other flowers yet! I’m leaning toward just having various greenery for the bouquets....maybe a few white roses.
