Our wedding is in October. Should we be worried about the Coronavirus?

Hello! We're in October as well. I'm still continuing with my planning, what I am scared of is everything coming to and end so close to our date and will give me little time to still get what I need. I'm also scared people will be in a state of shock and will be scared to attend (which i totally understand) but that plays a big role in the food and seating I don't want to have so many empty seats Smiley sad save the date cards are going out they can say they'll attend but with what is going on they don't come last minute is what is stressing me out lol

I would keep moving forward and cross your fingers. There is no way to know when this will be over and they are saying we will likely have another round but who knows when. As it gets closer you can make a decision. Good luck

October bride here! I’m looking forward to it! Honestly, it’s going to come down to whoever can come will come. The state of our world is a mystery for the time to come, so it’s best to just move forward with your plans!

This week we postponed our Oct. 2020 wedding to Oct. 2021. We have a huge guest list and were at that crossroads of a BIG venue non-refundable payment coming due. We just couldn’t take the chance of being financially at the mercy of our venue, with all the uncertainty. Good luck love.

    Hi Sarah,

This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone! It seems like a lot of fall brides are waiting a few more months before making postponement decisions, but everyone's situation is different and it never hurts to be proactive about plan b!

You also aren't alone right now! ❤️

Stay positive and hang in there!!

My wedding is 10/10. Trying to stay optimistic but leaning more towards postponing every day. My cousin was getting married 10/24 in VA but lives in NH. She ended up postponing.

10/17 Here! We Are Continuing To Plan As Normal . I Think Things Will Get Alot Better By Then , Depending On The Individual States Themselves. We Will Reassess Around September.

Mine is the last weekend in September. We are still planning and will reassess before our final payments to our vendors are due in August.

I'm thinking we'll postpone too. 10/10 here. But with the possibility of a second wave, plus who knows when it will be safe to have ~200 ppl in one place, I'm starting to think maybe we should just do a small ceremony then have a 1 year anniversary party. My fiancees family is in Florida and Puerto Rico, and we live in Ohio, so it won't be the same if they can't come Smiley sad
