I guess I'm looking for opinions on what you would rather eat as a guest at a wedding. Is it worth the extra dollar for the steak in the fajita option?

Thanks ladies!

In life I would say fajitas but for a wedding, a taco might be easier to eat.

I love both honestly but prefer fajitas.

Definitely need more variety. I'm having tacos, but they are fancy tacos, and served with veggie and starch side, a salad course, and passed apps/crab guac and dip stations

I think more people like tacos.

Tacos. Only because fajitas tend to stink up my hair and clothes.

I want to know more about this, and why.

My vote is whichever comes with rice & beans, unless the tacos are ground beef, and not braised. I don't like ground beef tacos, nor are they really wedding-appropriate IMO.

You have the rice and beans with the tacos but maybe some salads or appetizers as well.

    ETA: any vegetarian guests?

I'm having a casual beach wedding with tacos. I pretty much have the same thing you do but I am doing a dip station.. So it will have both hard and soft shell tacos with beef, shrimp, and chicken (your choice), rice, beans, the dip bar -salsa, guac, queso, cheese, mild sauce, hot sauce, bean dip, pico de gallo, corn salsa... that way if someone would rather they can have nachos as well.

Fajitas I think they would be the least messiest of the 2

Fajitas but I really don't think it fits for most weddings. Just too informal and messy.

Tacos! With the rice and beans is just more of a meal. I like what Allee B said about the Tortola chips and dips bar. That might add a little variety. Also, I think adding a salad course would be good.

The wedding I'm referring to was a night time wedding, with a very elegant and grand reception but dinner was a taco bar (and like someone else said, it was ground beef so not wedding appropriate I think) so it just seemed out of place.

@m: Fajitas when served in the cast iron pan with all the onions and peppers still cooking, the steam makes my hair and clothes smell.

I think they're both fine for a more casual wedding, but fajitas are usually easier to eat. So I vote fajitas, but only if you can also include rice and beans with it.

Personally, tacos hands down. The fajita bar isn't very vegetarian friendly but with rice and beans the taco bar is a much better option.

I vote tacos, but I also suggest the dip/ sauce bar. Could you also include taco salad shells? That would be great because I love taco salad.
