Hi! Just curious if anyone is planning their wedding in 6 months or less from start to finish or am I the only crazy one 😆🤷🏽‍♀️ We’ve been engaged for a while, but delayed the wedding due to finishing school, then moving due to FH career, then purchasing our first home & most importantly (sadly)...
Hi! Just curious if anyone is planning their wedding in 6 months or less from start to finish or am I the only crazy one 😆🤷🏽‍♀️ We’ve been engaged for a while, but delayed the wedding due to finishing school, then moving due to FH career, then purchasing our first home & most importantly (sadly) the passing of our Grandmas. We’re finally doing it NYE (YAAY) and I just calculated it and we officially got the ball rolling in May/June. How’s your planning going? Are you stressed? I’m not, but I’m curious to see how it’s going for other brides who are planning in 6 months or less until the big day.

Yes, we started planning our wedding in June of last year for an October wedding. So about 4 months. The most important thing was to book the venue and everything else fell into place. We also didn’t have a dance so didn’t need to hire a DJ, so that helped. But the venue took care of the food, we found a cake place, ordered invitations from Zazzle (no save-the dates since it was close enough), found a decorator, found someone to marry us, and had around 60 guests. So thankfully it worked out!

My sister is having a three month engagement and she seems to be pulling it off, so 6 is totally doable!

We got engaged in April (after being together for 8 years), and started planning in May for an October wedding. I really don’t want to jinx it, but honestly I’m not stressed at all. Everything with our vendors literally just fell into place. We got great discounts on everything from our venue to our dj due to them lowering their prices to fill in the few remaining dates they had available for this year. Everyone has been very communicative throughout the whole process. Now I’m just working on finishing up the bouquets, boutonnières and corsages (making them myself). Centerpieces are done! Last thing is getting my young boys their tuxes (it was recommended to wait til September for them to be measured as young kids grow fast!) it’s getting so exciting!

This is great! Feels good to know I’m not the only one who didn’t book a venue and start planning years in advance. We got engaged last September but I was job hunting, house hunting, started a new job, moved, his dad got sick, my grandmother passed... LIFE! I’m a little stressed because I’d really like to have it in the fall (mid-end November) and am just narrowing down venue options. Hoping to have that settled soon!

We got engaged in May and get married in October, so we’ve had 5 months to plan! I was VERY stressed in June, and then things started falling into place. We’re having a very small elopey type wedding day so I didn’t have a whole lot to plan, but I’m still extremely picky and knew just what I wanted. I’ve decided on everything except for flowers and my veil.

Planned my wedding in a little over 5 months.

Personally I think it is best because you go with your first instinct on a lot of things and don't have time to second guess yourself or drag your feet!

Hello, so so sorry for your loss. My Mamma passed away from cancer right before my boyfriend proposed. I truly understand. Since I was proposed to, there has been multiple life changes. My fiancé’s two boys have moved in with us. We had to get a bigger place. Furniture for their room, clothing, toys. With all of this, plus some, we had to cut a lot out of our wedding🥺. Who has had a wedding at any of the Houston Avenida Brazil Steakhouses? Any tips with having a wedding at a restaurant? Any tips on how to cut the budget? What is really important...what can I do without. Help me please lol...I’m doing this on my own.

    -Congratulations to all my brides,

We got engaged on NYE last year. We got married in August, so technically about 7 1/2 months.

However, DH got very ill in January, so we effectively had about 6 1/2 months.

    It can be done!

My advice is to not care about anything you can't remember from other weddings, be ruthless about what you want and focus on that, and remember to take a day or two to breathe.
