Exfoliate? Scrubs? Antibacterial Body Wash?

Kimberly S ( formerly Kimberly L ), on April 12, 2012 at 1:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Can anyone recommend any good products to exfoliate and scrub with?

Also I read on a bridal skin care site that antibacterial body wash will prevent back acne. Anyone have any suggestions on any type of antibacterial body wash?

My FH thinks I'm crazy but I love using the exfoliation gloves in the shower! As for an actual antibacterial body wash, I can't help. Sorry. Smiley sad

Have you tried a mit? I use mine daily with my regular bodywash and once a week with a sugar scrub.

I have dry skin that gets clogged and I often get those little chicken bumps on my arms. I personally find that the KP duty duo is da bomb. Smiley smile

You can also purchase through Sephora. Every other scrub I've tried is too "medicated" and seems to make it worse - but I know everybody is different.

I use exfoliating gloves from the Body Shop (just add some shower gel and way I go!) I find this much more effective all around. Does a better job of exfoliating, costs less and don't waste as much product.. I'm officially not a fan of body scrubs any more. Also, the Body Shop has a teatree line that is effective in reducing/treating acne. This is a skin care line (a lot of face products) but the line also contains a body wash. It smells like teatree.. pretty earthy/clean smelling and if you wash with that, you should see a reduction in backne! Good luck!

I use philosophy's microdelivery exfoliating wash for my body and I love that. For my face, I use a clairsonic mia with a gentle cleanser, I used to get cystic breakouts on my face all the time and have not had a single one since about a month after I stated using it.

I just add sugar to my face and body washes in the shower once a week and do an egg-white and honey face mask once a week and I have noticed an improvement already. But I'm kind of a hippy/organic freak lately...so...

I LOVE my lorel go 360 scrub, I got the apricot stuff cuz it has the scrubbing beads in it, it doesn't irritate my face or anything which is awesome because my face is really sensitive to stuff and it makes my face feel (and smell) SOOOO good, I don't know about body washes, i just use softsoap because it's what I'm not allergic to

Go to a spa or beauty school and get back facials. They can recommend something for u to use at home. Or I was thinking baking soda or Braggg apple cider vinegar so I looked up baking soda for acne and found this.http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php/topic/35135-omg-u-guys-must-try-this/ She is right u don't want to scrub or use harsh cleansers it will only get worse. also My friends & I use bentonite clay mixed with Braggs apple cider vinegar for a mask. Works wonders on all skin types : } http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=bentonite+clay&hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&rlz=1I7TSNA_enUS368US368&prmd=imvns&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1017&bih=463&wrapid=tlif133429048753710&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=14030216306793107773&sa=X&ei=SqiHT92cKs7B8AHlzoDQCQ&ved=0CIwBEPMCMAI#

Enjoy the sweet and strong aroma of cocoa and coffee that’s reminiscent of Tiramisu, the irresistible dessert from Italy! The Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub is a skin care product offering a tender way to pamper your skin to retain its natural gorgeousness. An excellent body exfoliator, it brings you the correct amount of scrubbing that’s not harsh. The raw brown cane sugar and real cocoa butter soften and smoothen your skin. One of the most effective moisturizers, cocoa butter is also one of the most stable, highly concentrated natural fats known that melts at body temperature, thereby ensuring quick absorption into the skin

Coffee is another fantastic natural exfoliant. It contains caffeic
acid, which has anti-inflammatory effects and can boost collagen production.
Just as coffee stimulates the body in the morning, it can serve as a skin
    stimulant as well.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 tbsp of ground coffee
    • 1 tbsp of water or olive oil

    Directions:

    1. To make the scrub, combine 1 tablespoon of ground coffee with 1
tablespoon of water or olive oil.
    2. To make this inexpensive face scrub even more economical, save the wet
coffee grounds from your brewed morning coffee and use those.
    3. If you use olive oil, skip applying a moisturizer afterward, as olive
oil will leave your skin super-moisturized.

I am also using Roaccutane as it is a chemical that scrubs the skin from inside out. You can find out more about it on this website.
