Exclusive Wedding Venues for a Weekend

Nics7, on November 20, 2019 at 11:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
My fiancé and I have been looking at villas and boutique hotels that can be rented exclusively for a few nights in Europe to do a symbolic ceremony and reception. We’re looking to accommodate on-site just a small party, no more than 40. But now we’re wondering - is this something that can be done stateside?? Does anyone know of villas/mansions/small hotels that might do this?

The place I’m getting married in San Diego is like this, but it only sleeps 14. They have other properties in California too. You get the whole place from Friday - Sunday. I also looked at a ranch in Santa Barbara where you rent the whole ranch and it sleeps 40. So yes, it is possible!

Hey there Smiley smileI love this idea. Sounds like a lovely, intimate celebration.

The WeddingWire venue directory lists a ton of venues which may offer a service like this. What’s great about the directory is you can filter by different venue types including the below -

    Mansion Wedding Venues

    Historic Wedding Venues

    Hotel Wedding Venues

You can also filter by location, capacity, amenities, etc.!

I would suggest searching through everything on offer and reaching out via their Wedding Wire profile with a generic email (you can copy and paste this!) with your inquiry. I hope this helps Smiley smile

Where in the US would you like to host the celebration?

Oh that’s good to know! Did you have a planner to help you find this venue or did you find the venue first?

Thank you so much! I’m wondering if it’s best to work with a planner who will help us determine the best place and state that could accommodate our vision, or is it better for us to find the location and local planner to that area?

This is a great question and I do think it would be your personal preference.

Personally, I would choose the location and then find a local planner in the area as I would want to use their local knowledge as a resource! If they're local, they're likely to have experience with local wedding vendors and be able to recommend accordingly!
