We postponed from May to August but we’re moving forward with our August date. It is very hard and it has an effect on the joy and excitement you should be feeling for sure! When did you postpone from and to? I hope that making the date change goes as smoothly as possible for you!

Agree 100%. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how I planned for every single possible thing that could go wrong. And funny how a pandemic ruining the wedding never once came up! Opened a wholeee new set of issues to deal with too 😂 just unbelievable

We just decided on Friday to postpone our July wedding. It was the hardest decision, but once we made the decision, I now feel a LOT better. It might help if you plan a special weekend for your original wedding date, so that it's a happy day. I hope all goes well and that your new October date works out!! Congratulations!

Postponed our November DW to May 2021. Feel like a big weight was lifted! Very hard to actually make that decision though! Now that it is moved, I am just stressing over getting new room blocks and informing the guests. I’m happy I moved the date.

Good luck with you new date, and stay positive. Your day will be perfect when it comes ☺️

We live in Illinois but our wedding is in Wisconsin. It’s gotten to the point where I just can’t wait for it all to be over, which makes me kind of sad. Hopefully our days will both go beautifully and we can share photos afterwards!

Our original date was March 29th. We postponed until September 13th. No matter how things are, we will go ahead with the wedding and reception on that date. His family and our friends all live here; the only ones that may not be able to attend are my family (which will suck, but it is what it is).

I’m just tired of waiting and want to get it done. Until then I feel like we’re in a holding pattern.

My daughters wedding was supposed to be yesterday. We postponed one month ago till May 2021.

A year and a half of planning. A perfectly fitted beautiful wedding dress. The dj, the photographer, the tuxes, the bridesmaid dresses, the flower girl dresses, on and on and on. You all know the picture.

But to be honest, as some posters above said, it just became a relief when it was finally decided. Every vendor moved with us, flower girls will need new dresses but bridesmaids should be fine. The wedding dress is hung and waiting with my mother of the bride dress.

Hopefully, next year will be beautiful. For all of you brides

Postponed from July to next May. It was such a hard decision, but I felt great relief having just decided to go forward with it about a month ago. I was surprised at how easy it was to move to a new date - every single vendor was able to move with us. We aren't going to get legally married on that date, but we are planning a small getaway within the state to take time for ourselves. I'm hoping because we will be away from home and somewhere else that the sting of our wedding not happening will be lessened.

I’m in Oregon but our wedding is overseas, and unfortunately we can’t postpone it too long due to their hurricane season eating up a lot of early next year and our deposit is only good for so long. We planned this last July and also paid for it so it’s been in the works for awhile :/ we’re basically screwed

Hi Kate! Managing the pandemic and your wedding plans is definitely a whole new level of difficulty!

Have you heard back from your venue about potentially postponing to October?
