Etsy Wedding Dress

I didn’t buy my wedding dress there but all our rings were Etsy and they are phenomenal! I think the important thing is to check the reviews for the particular shop you are looking at

I’ve been looking at some dresses on Etsy, it’s just a little soon for me to buy. If you do plan on getting one, I’d check the shops cancellation and return policy

I've purchased a LOT of things from Etsy (rings, jewelry, hats, etc) but I haven't had any experience with buying wedding dresses from sellers on there. I would honestly only purchase something as important as a wedding dress off Etsy if there were substantial reviews (with pictures!) that were all positive, and if the seller is very active about communicating with their (potential) customers. Also, keep in mind that sometimes Etsy sellers take a while to ship orders out depending on their inventory, how customized the order is, and other factors. You may want to reach out to inquire about how sizing works! There are many sellers on Etsy who are professional and great to work with -- just make sure the seller is credible and responsive!

I didn't purchase my dress on Etsy, but did purchase a custom hand beaded sash for my dress on there. After I purchased my dress I had dress regret and really wanted a little more sparkle for my dress. I came across a dress I loved on Etsy and asked the seller if they could take make a sash to match the embellishments on the dress. Surprisingly she said yes and did a phenomenal job. I was incredibly nervous because it wasn't cheap, but couldn't find anything that I liked anywhere else. If it is the dress you love I would suggest reading the return policy and reviews. If they accept returns and the reviews are good then go for it!

I bought my dress off of etsy and it was better than I could have imagined! I asked the shop owner a million questions and asked for extra photos and messaged a bunch of the reviewers asking for more info and photos of their dresses.

No problem, I think the site is weird haha but thank you!! I think if you've tried on dresses in person and are confident about the shape, just make sure you get as many "real" photos as you can! Would you mind sharing what shop you're looking at? I feel like I've looked through every etsy wedding dress shop there is!

I love Etsy and have ordered alot of customized items. I would be very careful and make sure to look at all the details about ordering a wedding dress. Its a main thing.

I know through google people said it’s from china and it’s awful, but I’ve also heard great things about it. The pictures I’ve seen of dresses girls have gotten from there are gorgeous. I actually almost ordered a dress from them! I didnt reach out to anyone individually but I agree, the pictures in the reviews are great. I've also seen good reviews on other wedding boards! I would maybe be wary of the custom measurements being 100% right (just because thats a trend I've noticed once in awhile from these chinese shops) but tbh I feel like they're really trustworthy! I know they've been around for awhile and I really don't think they'd still be in business if they weren't doing something right

I realize this response is a bit late for you but it might be of use to future brides.
My daughter is getting married in May and had already purchased a dress locally but it just wasn’t wowing her like it should have. A young lady in our area had listed a wedding dress she had ordered off Etsy from GuCi designs. The photo of it literally stopped us in our tracks. It was stunning. We went yesterday for my daughter to try it on, and the minute we saw it, we both cried. It was positively gorgeous. It fit her like it was made for her. The fabric was abundant, the details perfect. We could have looked all over Charlotte and not found a dress she liked more. The dresses on their Etsy shop page look fairytale beautiful, and they do not disappoint in reality!!
Also, my daughter is 5’10” and it was the perfect length and needed no alterations.
I highly recommend their pieces!
