Etsy Wedding Bands??

Following. plan on doing the same but no opinion yet =)

Following, too. Anyone know if there's a way to verify the quality and hold the seller accountable if it's shoddy? I haven't bought much on etsy myself.

My E-Ring is from etsy! I love it. The seller (don't remember off the top of my head) provided diamond certification. It also came with a lifetime warranty and free cleaning.

So certification, warranty and good customer reviews are a must!

I bought FH's band there and he loves it. They also did custom engraving for free.

I was about to post a vent about this actually... My set is from etsy however I'm fighting with the seller and have thus far had a horrible customer service experience. The original set we ordered was ordered June 5th. On June 24th I messaged the seller and inquired as to why my payment was received but the order had not been shipped, and I had not been contacted. She said she didn't have a diamond of the appropriate size for the setting and to select something else. We did and customized it with sapphires as compensation. Another couple weeks passed. No contact, but it was marked as shipped. I asked for photos. She sent me one and stated this was it "with a band" she was only sending the engagement ring. I sent her screenshots of our prior conversation proving I had ordered a "set" after she said "you'll have to pay $245 for a set" and she apologized saying the band would be there in a week. I contacted her Friday asking why it was taking so long when she said a week so long ago. She claims it was mailed Friday and will be here yesterday. Still no band as of today. I'm furious. Post office says the tracking number failed. Also she is now selling the exact custom set she made me in her shop. Even though we agreed it was an "original custom piece". So, please please be careful on Etsy. ETA missing info and spelling.

@Lorith which seller is this? I would love to know so I can avoid!

The shop is Lifespirals and the seller is Maureen Rockwood.

DH just reminded me to add that the lab created diamond was actually cubic zirconia and it was sterling silver without the 14 karat white gold dip she'd advertised and assured us she'd done.

I bought a custom band for myself from GNG Jewels on etsy, but it hasn't arrived yet so I can't speak to the quality.

We got my FH wedding ring from Paul Michael Design, and I absolutely love him and his employees. They were super helpful with all my questions and gave me updates. The ring is gorgeous and FH loves it. This shop is very 'geek' oriented though! We love it!

My rings came from Anjays Pearls. I didn't want a diamond as my main 'stone' so this was amazing when he proposed. and we just got my matching wedding band in too! He was very nice, from what I've heard from FH. He was sometimes a bit slow to respond, but he did always respond. He even was able to fix my engagement ring when a pearl popped off during a restaurant shift at my old work. ( I was wearing it on a necklace, so not sure how). But I just shipped it back to him and he fixed it and had it back in a few days!

I did! My Wedding band is different though, but this is what I wanted so, I'm happy !

My ring was black rhodium treated and it came from etsy, I've worn off the rhodium but that's really more on me than the ring maker. Really happy with it and it's original and quirky. Will be getting another from the same seller for my band but FH won't tell me exactly who the seller is so I can't see the price. -_-

DH and I both got our bands off of etsy but from separate shops. His was from RomasBanaitis and mine was from jewelrybyjohan. Both are great quality and for a good price.
