Has anyone ever heard of an "envelope bridal shower?" My friend's mom just received an invitation to one, and not even the all-mighty google can help us figure it out! Our best guesses are that it is either a shower where you write your address on an envelope for your future thank you card, or a shower where you are requested to bring an envelope stuffed with cash.

Any thoughts?

Haha that took me a second. I didn't mean they are registered at Rona (my FH would LOVE that!), I was responding to Roma, who commented above my last post!

I think the fact that they are registered makes it really confusing. I would call the host and ask what it means.

I think its probably a way of asking for cash only... but why have a bridal shower if you don't want actual gifts?

    Can anyone imagine...

"Oh look! Thanks Aunt Patty for the $100 bill! And Kelly got me 5 $20 bills!"

    Awk.

I agree with @Samantha, ask the host to clarify.

It's awful having to transport everything after so I assume they want things from the registry purchased and shipped to their home. Then you print a picture of the item and put it in a card to be opened at the shower. Or, just give them cash since that's what people can definitely use anyway.
