Engraving your rings

I thought about doing this. Looking forward to see other comments

Following. I want to have FH's ring engraved but no idea what to have done.

Guess what.... I love you. Or Guess what....chicken butt.

Haven't decided which one.

I definitely want to have ours engraved - my parents engraved each other's with little sayings, for example one of them says "SHT" for so happy together - their wedding song. I think it's a cute personal touch to come up with something for each other

My parents have their engraved with their initials and their wedding date. I think it's cute and romantic. We just don't know if we want just our initials and wedding date or if we want a cute saying or something. Just need a little inspiration from you guys.

Ours have bits of Ruth 1:16 -- "where you go, I will go" on hers, "your people will be my people" on mine.

Our engagement rings are engraved: Mine with "My Crazy Girl", our "song" and hers with Teddy Bear, one of our pet names for each other with a back story.

He engraved my engagement ring with something he wrote to me in a letter once. For the wedding band he did 25.5 the halfway point between our birthdays (both Cancers, same year, week apart)

Mine says "I love you..." And his says "... I know"

Ours say "Together as one." Followed by our date.

When we first fell in love, I'd ask him how much he loved me and he would put his fingers together to show a tiny bit. He would then tell me that it isn't measured by the space between the fingers, but rather you start at one finger and wrap all the way around the world and stop at that other finger and the space between was what was left.

)( is how we show that on text message. He works offshore so 9 out of 12 months are spent on a boat with crappy wifi. You learn to get creative.

His ring will be engraved. It will say "God has done great". That is the meaning of his name.

After telling each other "love you" I have always said "forever" and he has always said "always" so I am having his engraved with "forever"

We have a couple of sayings, "You're my otter" and "I choose you", to which the other person says "I pick you". If we engrave, it will be one if those.

He got "you're my lobster" on mine...we are both "Friends' super fans. And I got "Always" on his....also both huge Harry Potter fans.

@Kimi - I really like the "I choose you" - since it is a choice every day.

I went boring for FH's with just our names/initials & wedding date long form. Just ordered online (Eternal Tungsten - room for names & date - for the Triton one, and James Allen - just room for initials & date - for the platinum), so not a lot of character space for anything super profound.

We got our bands engraved with both our first names. The photographer was able to capture the inside of each ring. Very cute pic.

I don't know what I'm putting on FH ring yet, will probably take a line from one of our favorite songs. My first marriage I put PUT IT BACK ON in his ring

His is a wider band has my name and wedding date engraved (what he wanted), my band is very narrow so has a tiny quaver music note and wedding date on it.
