Engagement Photos- What did you wear?

We wore somthing that reflected us, FH is a carpenter so he's doesn't feel comfortable in dressy clothes. We did two outfits, one was plaid shirts and jeans for both of us and the other was a dress for me and a polo shirt and jeans for him. The colors complemented each other.

I wasn't mad about it, but the plan for our engagement pictures went right out the window haha. I had originally planned on wearing a nice blouse and dress pants, but had to change into a nicer t-shirt and jeans. Oh, and I left my shoes at home but thankfully I had my work flats in the car. Fortunately my FHs wardrobe didn't need to change either.

Then our location needed to change because our photographer was stuck in traffic and we needed to meet up closer to were she was instead. And of course it was one of the hottest nights of the year so far.

All in all, we had a great night and got to blow of steam and get used to being in front of the camera.

We did fall photos in the woods so we felt it was silly to get dressed up. We wanted them to look more natural. You don’t have to match your wedding colors but I wanted to so I did red with gold jewelry.

We chose a casual and a dressy outfit that we liked. I did give suggestions for FH, but he chose his own. You can see our outfits in my profile.

We are doing our engagement photos next Saturday near the Brooklyn bridge and we decided to wear all white. He is wearing a short sleeved white Oxford shirt white shorts and sneakers and I’m wearing a white dress and sneakers. Hopefully we don’t get dirty 😒 lol

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in not something you wouldn't wear on a daily basis. As well as wear something that represents you as well as a couple and your personality. Both my FH & I are very country so I wore a floral dress and a denim vest and we both wore our cowboy boots. I'd say for the guys have them kinda match you but don't make it look like a family photo with matchy clothes. Hope that helps.

Definitely make sure you are comfortable. We did both a casual and dressy outfit. However we only went casual because we were doing some fun and silly themed photos as well as the more serious photos.

We took 2 outfits.
I wore a nice top and jeans.
He wore a button shirt and jeans.

I also changed into a casual black dress.
He had a polo and black dress pants.

He only used one outfit and I changed in the middle of a gravel road.

We wanted something that was "us" so we did a shoot in the woods. We brought two outfits, I had a dress and FH had a nice grey button down with Jean's. Second outfit was jeans, camo tshirt, and camo hats.....both sets of outfits were worn with boots.
We were not at all happy with our photographer, but those a whole different story....here are the very few ok photos we received.

I found a dress I felt in love with so I just went with it. My bridesmaids were wearing blush and this had some pink and I was having a print wedding so it made sense. For my second outfit I wanted a white short dress. I had a hard time finding one because of my welcome party white dress and wedding dress. I wanted to be different from both so I found something that worked. Then I found something to coordinate him with me. You don’t have to do color coordinated with the theme or wedding colors but I’ll try to stay away form the style of your wedding dress or any other wedding event related specially if the color is the same.

I just wore a burgundy dress with some heels!!!

Depends on what type of theme or vibe you want. If you're going outside Is say better shoes and more casual. If you want more fancy feeling photos have a sun dress and polo at least and you don't need to match-match but coordinate.

So I just wore a dress and he wore a dress shirt with jeans but initially I did consider some matching t shirts we have
But just wear whatever you are comfy in and you can always do an outfit change

This is what I wore! It all depends on what you like and what your style is. Some people are casual and others do a fancier shoot! Just choose what you and your fiance are comfortable in. We had colors that complemented one another! Good luck!

We did a couple different outfits. One a little dressier, one more casual!
