Engagement Photos Venue Help

We had ours done, at a botanical garden. It was between rain showers lol.

It was a good day! I just followed my photographers lead. Now, that I think about it, I'm glad we were outdoors.

We're doing ours in a random empty fieldXD We're from Texas and our wedding will have rustic undertones. Look into a park or maybe a winery??

We had ours at the park by our apartment. It’s where FH proposed so it was special to us. The photographer had to work around people, but it was so worth it. Is there a place that’s special to the two of you that would make for decent photos?

That sounds so amazing! I was originally thinking about the restaurant where we met, there was a rooftop bar/venue where you can see the skyline, but it's no longer in business. Our last 2 anniversaries, we've had to find other spots to celebrate. I may just go to the park that has views of the skyline to mimic our first date.

We had our first location at an outdoor park by the river. Also on the bridge to get to the park. Then, we went to get pizza at our favorite pizza place 😂 We wanted something unique and it really got my fiancé on board with the whole thing haha

This is the park I'm thinking of using (Piedmont Park). Our shoot is scheduled for early November so I'm hoping for some Autumn leaves in the trees (fingers crossed). It was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the architect who designed Central Park which is also very special to us as we are originally from New Jersey and visit NYC often.

We wanted to do them at a place that was special to us. So, we went to our hometown, where we first met, first fell in love, which has a very cute "main" street, with businesses that have been around for all our lives, as well as new places. So, we took pictures mostly outside of these iconic locations, and also at a downtown park just a couple blocks away. Now I look at those photos and can't help but remember all the fun and happy memories from our hometown.

Thanks!! We really love it there. It's where we are getting married. We would probably still live there now, except that housing prices went through the roof, and we were basically priced out of the whole area!

So, we live about 30 miles away now, in an area more affordable for us. But we visit often, as we still have a lot of friends there, and love spending time there. In case you're wondering, the town is Livermore, California. In the SF Bay Area, famous for it's National Laboratory/Science Center, Wente, Concannon (as well as others) wineries, and some of the works of Jack London.
