Engagement Party!! MOH planning, what do i do??

My MOH told me she needed a list of people that we would like to have at our engagement party. After telling her that it wasnt necessary, she informed me that its her southern tradition and that its happening no matter what haha. FH and I gave her a list of 20. I overhear her and my BM say its at a restuarant but i dont know where or when its planned for. What do i need to do? What do i wear? I read on here that some people gave out favors. I want to contribute in some way but i dont know what that is. Any advice ladies?

I'd ask her! Ask if you can help and what you and FH should wear.

Agree with Allyson -- ask her! I would probably wear a cute dress and put FH in a button-down shirt or something. Sounds like you have a great MOH who wants to throw a great time for you!

Usually you don't do anything for your engagement party. Typically your parents or family take care of everything. But she should at least tell you where its at so you can dress appropriately. If you want to offer her help, perhaps check with your sister, mother, other BMs etc. and let them know the plan so they can offer their support if needed.

Yeah, since she is insisting, I'd bet she has some clear ideas-- ask her what she wants you to do, then there won't be any hurt feelings about what she expected/wanted you to do/not do.
