Eloping the month of my bday & 4 days from our proposal anniversary

Sfam, on June 11, 2019 at 5:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
We thought first October the month of when we started dating. But I’m also thinking about December instead now ! (We haven’t put down payments on anything just yet) but we’re eloping Smiley smile and I’m excited to marry the love of my life ❤️ But I was thinking if we ended up choosing December, would it be okay ?December is my birthday month. Early December, I’ll be 23, and also! FH proposed December 25th on Christmas last year. I was thinking maybe getting married 4 days from when he proposed last year. At first he did want a winter/Christmas December wedding 🎄 I think it would be a cute idea, I mean my bday isn’t that important to me.. I’ll just most likely be like “I turned 23 couple weeks ago” which isn’t as exciting anymore, I’m started to get old LOL and I’ll have plenty of more.

So I’ll be definitely looking forward to Christmas and our anniversary December ! Yearly 💗❄️💍❤️

But I think it would be great for us if we did marry December because we can save more money as well.

What are the thoughts on this? I’ll be 23 by then, and FH will be 22 early next year. I haven’t talked to my family just yet about what we plan on doing which is “eloping” or more of a small wedding of 20 people at a chapel. We plan to tell them maybe a week before our wedding. And we plan to celebrate it later with the rest of the family Smiley smile

I think December is fine but if you plan to invite people to a wedding just before Christmas you need to give them a heads up more than a week in advance. Holiday parties and other events are popular that time of year and you wouldn’t want someone to commit to another party over attending your wedding.

Smiley smile thank you for answering ! I’ll probably will give them a heads up at the beginning of the month. The ones coming to our ceremony is only our parents and siblings ! And our nieces , his side and mines Smiley smile

our “reception” or party with the rest of our family to celebrate our marriage, will be after Christmas in January or February! It’s more of a family gathering to toast to us, We’ll have snacks, drinks, food and music ! But they will get the notice after our ceremony. Kinda like a reception but a bit different.

We had our wedding on our bf/gf anniversary which was December 26 lol very exciting and it is nice makes the holiday season even more special I've loved it. I would suggest telling them a bit sooner so they know not to make plans. We also saved a ton of money marrying in December. Congratulations 😁

I think December is a lovely time of year for a wedding.

I love the dark evenings and twinkly lights from decorations.

If you and your FS want to get married in December, go for it Smiley smile
