I’m having a very hard time planning a wedding out. I just want to throw in the towel and elope. Am I the only one??

No you aren’t alone, I’ve thought of this multiple times. We have lived together, have a four year old daughter, I mean ahhhhh we don’t need all the bells and whistles and he has become a groomzilla !!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 which I love and hate (bittersweet)

How are you getting through this? Advice please! I’m a single mom, putting myself though college, and my family will not be helping.

Our daughter is 4.. it’s hard for us (single income household) he’s a police officer and I’m a stay at home mom - put my career on hold for our family.. it’s hard to plan a wedding when all I can think of is Christmas, hobbies and activities, school/college etc anything else that we could be using the money for and we are okay finally- no issues but I still worry and feel like we don’t need all the things we “want” just for a wedding

Far from being alone lol. That was our original plan. Our parents bamboozled us and we're still the only ones paying for it. It sucks but kind of too late to turn back now.

Girl, Noooo. I threw in the towel and I’m so glad I did! My bank account is thriving. Excluding our attire, our entire elopement package should be about $1,500. No debt, no stress, just us 💕

Many hotels have elopement pkgs. I world love a wedding but can't justify the cost plus would rather a killer honeymoon. Some wedding officiants also do elopement pkgs. Look for some in your area. Even in the USA they have some. Some even include de photographs.

If you decide to go that route here's some info and you can still have close people attend.

Not at all!! We seriously planned to elope for MONTHS but then realized we want all our closest family there so we decided on a small scale destination wedding

We were going to do it, but instead opted for an intimate small wedding with just immediate family. It’s better than a huge wedding Smiley smile

This is what I’m thinking. This is my second marriage, but my fiancé’s first. My daughter wants to have a small wedding. Idk what to do. The cost of elopement vs a small wedding look to be about the same in my area.

What is your budget? You fotos really have a ceremony by an officiant for a few hundred and so a reception at home.

Honestly... I’m 12 days away from our wedding. We’re having 75 people at a semi destination (about an hour and 15 min north of us) and literally my fiancé and I are at the point of “just getting through” the wedding and seriously looking forward to the day after. We’ve been having so much anxiety with our wedding due to family drama with my mom and his sister, not to mention a year and half’s worth energy, time and money spent on our 6 hour day- we’re just drained. I originally wanted to elope, he wanted a big wedding- so we compromised. I still wish we could just cancel it and elope- get married on a mountain somewhere.. sigh, it’s just too late. I hope it was all worth it!
