Elopement ideas?

Aspen, on June 2, 2019 at 1:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
Hello! My fiancé is from India, so we are planning two weddings. We are wanting to have one here, and one in India so his family can join us obviously. I do not have very many people I am wanting at my wedding, mostly immediate family. Since he gets to plan the India wedding, I get to plan this one! I am wanting to elope, but have no idea where to go! I am wanting to stay in America, since obviously the second one will be far. I am only wanting a handful of people there, so I do not want to actually rent a location. Do y'all have any killer elopement places that would be amazing for something like this?! I plan on having immediate family + the best photographer. So very small and very intimate, but I want a crazy cool place too! We're not sure when it is yet, so we can plan the date around the location.

Which state do you live in? Can your guests afford to fly, or should it be within a certain number of hours for driving.

If you like trees and waterfalls, the PNW is amazing!!! San Diego, Malibu, or some other SoCal cities are awesome for the beach. What kind of vibe are you going for?

I have a VERY similar situation! My FH is also from India. We are also having 2 weddings- 1 being in India later this year and we are eloping! Lol we’re like wedding twins Smiley smile we are going to NC and eloping in the mountains. There’s a place there with an absolute breathtaking view. We actually get married there on Tuesday. The company we are using is fantastic. They take care of everything! They provide the officiant, a small wedding cake, photographer, my bouquet, and they file the paperwork for us afterwards. They’ve been so easy to work with too! But we’ve found similar company’s in other states also. We just couldn’t pass up this location!

I got engaged in Gatlinburg and I wanted to elope there, but FH wasn’t into eloping. Anyways I had read about a place I believe just outside of Sevierville (maybe) called Christopher’s place. They had different wedding packages starting pretty reasonable.

You can check out www.simplyeloped.com and they offer a lot of different places in a few different states. They have different elopement packages at super fair prices that include up to 20 guests (depending on location). If you need more than that, it's a small fee per person. Definitely worth checking out. Hope you find what you're looking for. Best of luck.

Thank you all for the amazing ideas!! All of them look incredible, I'll check all of them out!

Also, super funny about Christopher Place! We're actually going there in September, I booked it for his birthday, so I'll look into that while I'm there!

Why not choose something that's a short/inexpensive flight but someplace all your guests would enjoy? North Carolina, South Carolina or New Orleans!

For an elopement, I'd legit consider the Disney weddings. I soooooo wanted to do a Disney elopement/immediate family only, but FI said no. Smiley sad

Mandy this is the Hitching Post at Pisgah Inn in Asheville, NC. We used the company Elope Asheville and they were absolutely wonderful to work with!! I also hired a make up artist in the area, Ali Lawless with AnaRie, and she was incredible!! We had a beautiful day and the process couldn’t have been easier. The company has other similar locations in that area that are equally as stunning!

Friends of ours got married at the most beautiful winery, Saude Creek Vineyards in New Kent, VA. The views were incredible but the whole area (outside Charlottesville, VA) is gorgeous. We are semi eloping, we'll be legally married a few days before with just our sons by our side in one of our favorite towns, Cape Charles, VA. They have a beautiful gazebo overlooking the water and we will walk back through the town before going for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants there. We are renting a house on the beach with a big backyard leading to the beach for the reception that weekend. We will have a short ceremony on the beach and party in the backyard, perfect for less than 50 guests. There are some truly beautiful places in the mountains too.
