Elegant Viking/norse themed wedding?

Hey there!! Oh my goodness, this is such an interesting theme and you're going to have so much fun planning it!!

I find that the best place to go for decor inspiration is Pinterest, especially when you have such a niche theme that you are trying to stick to.

Are you having your wedding outdoors? I think a woodsy style area like a campground or a farm surrounded by trees would really lend itself to the look you're trying to achieve!

I had a lot of fun finding these images of what your elegant Viking themed wedding could look like! By incorporating a lot of moss, greenery, and wooden elements, you will be ablet o create something really beautiful, especially if you couple this with lots of candles (or even fairy lights would work and would be easier to work with!)

I love the idea of using an axe for your cake cutting! It seems like a super simple way to incorporate your theme and will make for some really great photos!! Here are some great decor options and color ideas that will really help bring your theme to life! If you are having your ceremony outdoors, then something like this could look amazing! It wouldn't be crazy difficult to achieve either, especially if you are creative or crafty at all!

So there things I surely like here.like the ax. and yes the venue we are looking at is a farm with trees. but I still feel like it is not perfect after looking at neat 70 venues... or more at this point. it just the closest. fires and being outdoors are a big thing for me. with it being a late spring early summer. I feel like the color red which it pronounces here is to much for me. everything looks "heavy" if that makes since. though Ilike the head table. and the long farm style table with center pieces. I not a fan of the pine or most. which i think i will run green leaves or vines with light colored flowers. i like more gems stone colors over pastels. i have pinterest alot. but the sites are just not offering me what I'm looking for. spillian is the closest for outdoor feel. but has a small rain option and the grist mill and log village in hartford.

So a little more about my currently places.

Spillian's* mansion in the catskills. is amazing..

it all i want expect for a rain locations. the venue is a little price for the wedding we want. an the inside is a little small for our wedding size. out side... my biggest concerns are the distant in the woods or yard for handicap access aka mom and gram. the site location is also much further for our families to travel. over 4 hours for some.

the grist mills, is not nearly as woody

but has better access to a rain location and facilities. This location is also incredible flexible with what we are allowed to do, and provided space for all our guess to camp if they would like for free. It not to expensive and much closer to our family. only 1hr to 2 for most.

as far as the wedding itself here is some pics of inspiration i am looking at. because yes.. i pinterest all the time but i find that not everything on pinterest is a reality

simple far, tables u have to have the clan leaders have there spot light ok ... we are looking at not having a cake as niether of us eat it. but love the most and wood hereim actully looking at getting a custom sword as a gift for him.again love the farm tablesthis is one of our favorite "dishes" lol because we are vikings rightceremony site. the feast love the lights and treed path i would like to have one or two continous tables like this. the wood plates/ or gift idk how all would feel about these but i like them again becuase why not meat, bread and cheese. just missing the mead.
