Editing rsvp options when linked to wedding website

Amanda, on August 17, 2018 at 12:59 PM Posted in Account Support 0 16

Hello!

We decided only use our Wedding Wire Website for RSVPs. It is linked to my guest list BUT I have had a few people test it out and it asks them to select a meal and I do not want that to be on there. I only want the guests to be able to indicate if they are coming (to ceremony and reception) or not. How do I edit that??

Thank you!

I know you can turn this feature off in the settings. I don't use it so i can't tell you step by step unfortunately but it was most likely turned on or not turned off when you set it up.

Go to planning tools, then guest list. Then click on reception. On the top of the screen you should see “settings” again to the right of the word reception. Click on that, scroll down a little & you will see the “menus” section where you can edit. Click on them all & then remove.

Instead of removing the items in the menus section, would unchecking "track meals" work?

That's what I ended up doing and I think it worked - I had another friend test it out and she was not prompted to answer about meals.

    Thank you!

Hi Jo - are users able to customize the form guests see after finding their name, any further than giving them a list of menu options or not?

I'd like to be able to change what the text says on "Leave a message for the couple" to something custom like "What song should we play?", etc. and I was also hoping to be able to provide the description I entered in the Menu section of my weddingwire dashboard page for any of the drop down options they choose.

    Thanks!

Hi Brian! While you are not able to change that text, we see a lot of users edit the text box above the RSVP page requesting the information for the guests to leave in that additional comments box!

Ok, thank you! No way for my guests to see the text description I created elsewhere in the site of the menu selection they've made, correct?

Hi Brian! They'll see the menu options that you set up in the settings of your guest list as they RSVP! If you want to share anything else I'd put it in that text box!

For my wedding it doesn't matter if they are attending the ceremony or not, but is there a way on the website to delete that selection so my guest don't have to say if they are attending the ceremony or not?

Hi Elyssa! Those RSVP options are tied directly to your guest list! Just remove your guests from the Ceremony event and then they'll not longer see an option to RSVP for it!

    Hello,

We are not having menu options for our wedding. I have tried unchecking "track meals" with no avail. How do I get the menu selection off of my RSVP?

    Thanks!

    Katy
