I'd like to think our brand of bitchiness is a little bit more palatable than the one served at TK.

I went to theknot forums for like a minute. Too many memes, too many animated gifs. Distracting. Also, I notice people don't respond to posts as often. There were posts that people were responded to like 2-3 years later with "sorry I didn't see this til now." I saw one post about my venue that was helpful, it was from 2012 but it led me to the decision on hiring a DOC, but WW is better overall Also, I liked WW's website options better.

The animated gifs drive me nuts. Like, someone dancing is funny once, but looping endlessly? It's like telling the same joke for 10 years and expecting a reaction.

They are opinionated over there for sure, but really they are honest - which some people here could use more of. They just don't blow rainbows up your ass or deal with bs

I have personally never had a bad experience on the knot. I just settled down over here because these forums were easier to navigate but they have recently revamped theirs. I think its always a good idea to lurk a bit first with any forum and figure out what topics may set off a fire storm.

The women here are just as opinionated but most of us are less curt about it than the knot.

I couldn't handle the gif signatures. They did an awful job of separating signature vs comment. I kept thinking their sig gif was the comment itself. Yuck.

I actually think people on here can have strong opinions, but they also don't always berate you with their opinion as though it's fact, like TK.

Yeah... Sometimes I find TK entertaining to read, but I much prefer these forums for actually being useful and getting feedback. I do like that their local boards are a bit more separate from the general ones, though. I did get some good feedback from my local board on TK when I asked a question about venues in my area.

MrsBest2B...I had to compromise with camo too! FW's only attire request was camo in her vest for the wedding. I think there are plenty of ways to do cute camo engagement sessions.

I got a great response from everyone with my theme of Redneck Classy which WILL include camo on the big day. I think everyone is as excited as I am to see how I can pull off the two together!

I love how much support there is here, even if one of us doesn't like something we find the best way to say it and offer a different option.

OP, just wait. Haha- I have a love hate relationship with this place. It's way better than The Knot for sure, but there's plenty of attitude to go around!

@Future Mrs. Batog-Huffman and @MrsBest2B, camo here too!! I'm also doing the camo vests. They'll just be hidden under jackets..... and only very tiny touches of it at the reception. None visible at the ceremony!
