Drinks for the Wedding

kimberly, on March 1, 2019 at 11:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hmmm. So we got the alcohol ordered, water & ice taken care of. My question is how much of everything else should we get. I was thinking about keeping the variety kind of small but to mix well with Jameson & Vodka, we were only going to get Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, Sweet Tea, & Non-Sweet Tea. Now our total guest count is 75 people. How much of each of these is it recommended to buy? I expect people to want regular sodas and drinks throughout the night as well as the alcohol, but should i buy like twice the amount of soda or any ideas of how much I should get? Also when do people usually start purchasing drinks? My wedding is 5/11/19

I'd get ginger ale if you can! Whiskey ginger is pretty popular. I'm not sure about amount, but there are plenty of alcohol calculators online for that too.

My reception is on 5/13/2019 with 50ppl total. We're going this weekend to get everything. Really, as alcohol is nonperishable, you can get it as soon or as late as you want to. I just would rather have everything done asap so I have more time to focus on things I have to do closer to the date.

Most of these calculators also include soft drinks/mixers.

I would check with your grocery store and see if they let you return soda if you don't need it! Then you could buy extra and not be stressed

That's not a bad idea. Also our venue only allows two kinds of hard liquors so thank you for the chart but that wont work for us. We can have as much as we want but only 2 type. As for everything else its free game

I didn’t see any type of juice mixer on your list, I would add at least cranberry and OJ besides the tea and soda
