Dress Wont Zip

Chelsie, on May 18, 2018 at 11:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 46
Okay, so I am 7 weeks out and my dress WONT ZIP. I am freaking out. I am a nurse, so I know how to exercise and eat properly, but I have truthfully neglected that. I am re-starting again today forsure! I guess I’m looking for support. I feel like I’m the only one who let the stress get to me... I’m truthfully very embarrassed...

Don’t freak out, getting that dress to zip fully in 7 weeks is totally doable in my opinion. Is it around that time of the month for you at all? I had gone in to try on my dress the week before my period and it almost didn’t button up because I was THAT bloated, week & 1/2 later it buttoned with room to spare. Crazy how hormones affect our bodies that much!

No need to be embarrassed, or to add additional stress to an already stressful time.

You’ve got this! ... and that beautiful dress will zip in no time!

Your so close to zipping! And you have almost two months. Don’t stress it’ll happen!

And I’ll echo what Katie said! Are you pms-y or even have a big dinner? I know I’m skinnier in the mornings too. Might just be the time of day.

Yeah, that's no issue! You'll totally be able to make this work. Just change two small habits a day. For example: If you eat bacon and toast for breakfast, try just eggs. If you have a glass of wine in the evenings, cut that out until the weekends. It'll zip back up in no time at all!

You are not alone! As a nurse you must know that stress of all kind can impact even the best eating habits and exercise plans. Your dress is still quite lovely, and I am certain that there are simple ways your tailor or seamstress will know to adjust your gown if it does not fit exactly as you intended. Please try not to stress. You will be a beautiful bride!

Hi Chelsie! I am so sorry to hear you're experiencing this, but don't worry! Since you are a nurse, I am certain you will be able to apply the best practices to re-working this. You can also try looking for an alternative option.

I wish you the best of luck! Relax, it will work out!

Its def fixable. Don't freak out just yet. Try your hardest to be on a strict diet for one month. 2 weeks before your wedding try it on again if it doesn't zip, take it to a tailor to open us the sides. It'll zip then

I was going to say you are very close to being able to zip it. I think somebody would probably be able to grip it and get it up actually. However with 7 weeks to go i think you can get in it comfortably. Add a little exercise and drink your water. You should at most feel more lean.

I am a nutritionist and clinical pharmacist. Maybe you could try the Keto diet for the next few weeks. It is definitely the best diet I have found for my patients to drop weight quickly yet still in a healthy way!
