So for some background, I’m having a Halloween wedding next year! I’ve had the idea for quite sometime and was super excited to do a black dress. I found what I thought was the perfect dress and I loved it and bought it the same day with confindence. Now I still love my dress, however I’m starting to regret going with a black dress and wish I had gone with a white dress and added other elements of the gothic vibes I’m going for in accessories and decor. Photo of dress for reference.

I love it! Trust your gut. You must have felt strongly to make such an unconventional choice. What about a white veil with black lace appliqués for a nod to the traditional?

I think with your theme, the dress is gorgeous! Just a thought-is it possible to do a white underlay just under the black lace part? Of course you would have to pay for alterations but probably cheaper than buying a new dress. Using 2 different dresses is an option too-white for the ceremony and black for the reception. Whatever you decide I’m sure you will be stunning!

How funny! I bought a white dress and regret not getting a black dress! I think this dress is stunning but if you’re not happy anymore then I would go for the dress that’ll make you happiest.

I think it’s a beautiful dress. And you look gorgeous in it. I was going to have a Halloween wedding and wanted a black dress but future mother in law is super religious And wanted a white. Since we decided to elope I get to pick whatever I want. .I agree is someone else in your ear telling you go “traditional “ do what makes you happy. If you add your little touches and accessories I think it would help you make you feel as the dress complete.

another thought you can wear this for the reception part of the Halloween theme and a white for the ceremony!!!

I think it looks quite nice on you and is such a beautiful dress. It sounds like it fits into your theme for Halloween and your personal style. I found some lovely bridal photos with black gowns that look very bridal/wedding to me. I like the others idea to have a white ombre veil. I bet once it all comes together it will look great. I also had regret of my dress, but I'm coming back around after seeing someone else with a similar figure wearing my dress and speaking with alterations. Good luck!

Well first off, the dress looks stunning on you! But there are so many options for this concern. You could do a few things:
    1. Add white elements into the outfit to make it less dark.
    2. You could keep that dress for your bridal shower, or for your reception. Then have a white dress for ceremony!
    3. You could just buy another dress in white & decide whenever you feel like it lol!

You look amazing in the dress. Have you tried on any white dresses? If not, if you try some on you will have a better idea which color you prefer more.
