Dress regrets after having to postpone wedding

We are starting to lean towards postponing our August wedding. All of this uncertainty is just too stressful for me. I’m an RN working in a hospital so I just feel constantly surrounded by corona talk, so that just adds to my stress.

July 2019 I bought a Martina Liana 953, it’s a beautiful dress. but I have had dress regrets since buying the dress. I recently saw martina liana 1040 online and can’t stop thinking about it...
I figured if I am postponing I have time to get a new dress but i’m just not sure if I should. when I talk to my friends they all say they like my original dress (953) better. but I want more of a dramatic mermaid shape that the 1040 has.
any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

I say if you have the time and the budget go for it!

I think you should wait to make a decision until you're able to try on the second dress, just to make sure you like it on you better than the one you have. When I was looking online at dresses, I found one I loved and would've sworn was THE dress. Then I went to my appointment and it just didn't do anything for me in person. The one I ended up getting was one that I thought was just so-so online, but was the dress I compared all the others to once I tried it on. So you never know
Then if you've tried it on and still love it, if you're able to change dresses (time/budget) then go for it

That’s exactly how I feel!!! the one i tried on and picked I didn’t even pay attention to online and some of the ones I saw online that I liked didn’t do anything for me in person. so that’s great advice thank you!!!

I would keep your dress! I think ita so easy to start doubting with the uncertainty of everything. Do what's right for you, but it's easy to doubt in these times.

Also, maybe go to a shop or look online to get a larger mermaid petticoat to go underneath. That way you could keep your dress, but a petticoat could help create that more dramatic mermaid!!

It's totally up to you! If you the time and budget for a new dress, then why not! But I also think it's hard to be sure about your dress decision when you can't try it on again. When your first dress comes in you might fall in love with it all over again!
