I've been seeing a lot of wedding pics and videos and there always seems to be the dress on the hanger shot. I was talking to my photographer yesterday about the getting ready pics, and she mentioned the dress on the hanger. And I was thinking about it today and I'm not really sure I want to do have that shot. Is there some kind of meaning behind that particular shot? Not knocking anyone who is doing or has done it, just curious how this pic came to be.

Want the dress and rings in flowers pics for sure, the shoes on the other hand not so much. Had foot surgery in past and probably won't be wearing bling shoes that day. Way to painful. I also want pics of my rings with those of my mother and grandmothers engagement rings. I have both grandmothers and will be getting my mothers before the big day ( in safe deposit at fathers bank). Thinking of those with the wedding bouquet or something. Planning on taking them with me down the aisle some how.

I like the shot... wedding dresses are very beautiful and I think a single shot of them is nice.

I second not have a shoe shot or ring in bouquet shot.

I am not in love with the idea simply b/c most dresses don't look very nice on a hanger .... but I have been wondering what the trend is all about as well..... definitely becoming more popular! I do love the personalized hangers but have no idea where people are getting them!

Its photographers not being original.. One person did it and now everyone is doing it.. Tell her to come up with a better way to display your dress.

I saw a picture on Pinterest where it's the bride holding up her dress in front of her and looking at it. I like that one more than the dress hanging up. I really don't like the ring on the spike of the shoe picture. I'm wearing flats so that wouldn't work anyway. My photographer has a pic in her portfolio of the earrings and engagement ring on the nightstand that is pretty. I'm cool with that shot.

I'm not doing the ring on the shoe thing. It's a cute shot, but I'm probably wearing flats or wedges so that won't work. lol

I don't particularly care for that shot. I see why people like it. Just not my thing.

I saw a few hangers on Etsy. Not sure what I would have it say. It not technically a "Bride" so I wouldn't have it say that. And I'm already Mrs. XXXX. Decisions, decisions lol

Well, you're not a groom! I think it's ok to say Bride or Mrs. X.

Or "So Good He Married Me Twice" but that's kinda long.

It was cute the first time I saw it, but now it's overdone...my dress doesn't hang well on the hanger, it looks stupid, so I won't do it. I'll have pictures of ME in the dress, isn't that enough?

Just don't hang the dress from a sprinkler head (in a hotel room) -- you'll create a flood.
