Dress is too short. Photo added.

36 days out and did my final dress fitting and it's at least 2 inches too short. Seamstress cut off "excess" fabric, so no going back. 36 days out and did my final dress fitting and it's at least 2 inches too short. Seamstress cut off "excess" fabric, so no going back. I suggested altering it to tea or knee length and foregoing the train and the seamstress sounds super angry. The even worse part of this: the seamstress is a close friend who is also in my bridal party. I don't have a photo of it now, but my MOH saw it on me and said: "Oh my god, that is way not good." Edit: it's 2 inches too short WITHOUT shoes on.

I really like Erin C's idea if that's doable. At this point, I'd bring it to someone else...

Thanks again. I think we've come up with a solution and it involves matching the backing to the lace, so daylight doesn't come through and adding a sash. I'm much calmer about it today.

I'm glad you have a solution that could work for the hem! And this could just be the way you're standing/angle of the pic (and it may well be something she's planning on fixing in next fitting) but also have her look at the bunching at your waist.
