Dress for January Wedding

Christina, on January 10, 2022 at 3:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Hi,
I am getting married on January 6 of next year. Me and my fiancé have a wedding vision of a winter garden theme. I have already chosen my dress and now I am starting to think it looks like a spring dress. Am I crazy? Every winter dress I see doesn't really have florals. Do you think this would look nice in January with a fur bolero over? The ceremony and reception are in the same area both indoors. This is not me in the photo. I just found that online. I am getting off the shoulder sleeves with tulle and the same floral pattern as the bodice. So what do you think? Will this be nice for a January wedding? Dress for January Wedding 1

I agree - I think it will look beautiful. There's something about those flowers which give an almost 'snowfall' effect, kind of like when you see bunches of cherry blossom petals? So I think it would go just fine in winter!

This dress is blue, but it has similar embellishments as your dress, and looks wonderful in the snow!

Thank you! Wow that is beautiful. I just got a bit nervous since there are flowers in my dress and all the winter dresses have lace patterns. But I don’t think there is a rule for no flowers on a dress for a January bride? Right? Lol

Totally not at all! There are NO rules! I've seen loads of tulle dresses in the snow that look amazing, and let's be real, tulle is NOT a winter fabric. Just because it's winter doesn't mean you have to be draped in velvet or heavy mikado silk or anything. As long as you're warm enough and like the way it looks, I say go with your heart - the season doesn't dictate your dress! And I am imagining in that season you'd be inside mostly anyway, and photos don't show what the temperature was. For eg, my sister's wedding was a freak of nature and ended up at about 45C (113F) - but you cannot tell at ALL from the photos that it was as hot as that.

I think that the flowers on the dress will emphasize your tenderness and femininity.
