These are my final two gown selections. Each very different and leaving my very torn. The ball gown gave me "the feels" when I put it on. These are my final two gown selections. Each very different and leaving my very torn. The ball gown gave me "the feels" when I put it on. It is simple, but I liked that about it and want to purchase an antique looking belt. However, my father thinks it looks like a prom dress and is plain, my best friends also thought it was a little plain for me (but support my choice). The lace piece, I also loved because it would compliment my body shape, wedding theme (rustic, romantic), and venue (an old cotton mill). Also, THAT TRAIN! However, no "the feels" (I still loved it though). This dress has the support of my friends and father.How would you choose?! Love them both but your feel was the ball gown. It’s what you want and feel. I’ve a mistake in allowing g other ppls opinions in.

It's your wedding. Go with what makes you happy. If you got the feels with the beautiful ball gown then that is the one. No questions. I tried on a ton and ended up with one I never would have expected because it was the only one that I had emotion towards. Plain! But i added a bling bling belt and i was done.

I personally prefer the ball gown. It's not "plain" it's simple. And you look gorgeous in it. Do what you feel is best and appropriate!!

Go with what you LOVE. If you don't love either, maybe you uh haven't found the one. Find a 3ed dress that combines what you like about each...maybe that's the ONE..

The ball gown is just plain elegant, wear it! The other dress is really nice. But the ball gown on you is stunning. Something that might please the naysayers, and you both. I used to make gowns. And something that often solves the dilemma of adding a little more lace and bridal feel to a strapless sheath or ballgowns, without making them any less elegant, is a lace illusion jacket which buttons up the back. Many big makers and stores ( Maggie, David's, Jasmine etc) carry them. And Etsy or Ebay makers * have them. Thousands of barely there, or big statement styles . Sample:

Put it on for the ceremony, some picks. Take it off for dinner and dancing glamor any time you want. No alteration to the gown it goes over . Those in the $30-60 bracket are often cheap scratchy lace, but usually $60 and up will buy a yard of not so cheap lace, and still allow a profit. Search : lace illusion jacket for strapless wedding gown ...
*use a seamstress or store from Etsy or Ebay in this country or fairly local to you. ( Asian lace harsher, for same price,many platforms sell a rip off that never arrives , or arrives 6 months late, or is ill-sewn and not kept clean).

Obviously, it should be up to how you feel. Not anyone on here, or your family.
I have GOT to say, though. The lace dress is waaaay more gorgeous in every way! Back and front! The lace one definitely compliments you more. The other dress comes out too soon at the waist. It doesnt show the silloughette of that lovely figure you have.

They both look really nice on you but I would go with the ball gown since it gave you “the feels”. You could always add some bling to the actual dress or using jewelry if you think it needs it.

I would say keep looking love. You look stunning in the lace dress! The ball gown is pretty as well!

However if “the feels” are there. Maybe something about that gown is something you love. (The pouf, the satin finish, more conservative). I think maybe look one more time. If your heart takes you back to the ball gown. Girl, snatch it and wear that dress. You will look lovely no matter what.

Both dresses look amazing on you! However, I think you should go with the ball gown since it gave you the "feels". It is all about you and at the end of the day your opinion is the only one that matters!

I like the ballgown. You will probably not have an opportunity to wear a dress like that again. The other one is beautiful but is less like a wedding dress so you may be able to rock something like that another time.

You look absolutely gorgeous in both! I actually like the ball gown better on you. I usually don’t like ball gowns, but you are rocking that dress. Are you able to get both? Maybe look on websites like still white.com, Poshmark, eBay for the second one. You might be able to get it way cheaper and wear both ☺️ Good luck on your decision!
