Double-sided tape?

tinkerpsu, on October 26, 2016 at 10:28 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Hi All! I was at the seamstress yesterday and I have a beaded strapless gown. I would like it to sit a little higher on me and she suggested toupee tape or double-sided fashion tape. I have big tatas, 34ddd! It looks great, this is just me being picky. I am completely covered with no spillage!

Does anyone have any recommended of tape they used that might help with the heavy lifting?

One of my BM's used double-sided fashion tape with her dress, but I'm not sure of the brand, unfortunately. It seemed to work, though!

I've used the double sided from Victoria Secrets & Charming Charlie. Wasn't super impressed with either to be honest...

I used Hollywood tape. It worked with my dress gap.

I too have a strapless beaded dress, but I am only wearing a strapless bra with it as it supports me so much better than nothing. I can't imagine relying on tape to stay put and not sweat off.

@taylormade2016- the owner/seamstress told me no bra! I am really high-busted as is and I would be spilling out!

Really? Because I felt like I was spilling out without a bra and then when I tried on my dress with the bra I felt like there was more support. I got a cheap bra from Target too.

Similar situation here. I've been in a lot of weddings and go to a lot of charity events for FHs job, and I have struggled with this for a while. First was fashion tape, to mixed success (the pink and black brand is probably best, can't remember name.) Once at a friend's wedding I had a dress with built-in bra that was disastrous. Ended up using clear moving tape so I could dance! The moving tape worked better than everything else but was a bitch to remove, so not recommended.

The best choice for me has been getting a really good full-size strapless bra. It is the old lady kind, from waist to boobs, with boning. The girls stay tucked in tight and secure, even on the dance floor, and that bra is the best thing I've found yet.

I don't see the point. My dress is strapless. In US sizing I wear a 36P. Not a typo, P. As long as the dress is fitted tightly in the ribcage, you shouldn't have issues. That's where the support comes from.

I have a longline bra and a corset back dress. I have no issues with the dress slipping/falling with or without the bra.
