Don’t know where the presents came from

Natt, on July 25, 2019 at 6:37 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7
We just arrived home from our honeymoon and found a couple presents that were either opened or didn’t have a name/card with it And it looked like there were some presents inside of presents. We had a bunch of people stay in our house dog sitting including my mom with my younger siblings so it’s possible they opened it and moved things around (not upset about that) my concern is when writing thank you cards I would like to thank them for the present they gave us and it’s nice to know where the present came from when using it in the future. What’s the best way to figure out where the presents came from? Most of our presents came before the wedding so we made note of who gave us what. it’s just a handful of presents we received on the wedding day that we arnt sure where it came from.

I've no advice aha but wanna follow because I have this exact same problem. I had some gifts with no names on it too and not really sure how I'd figure it out since its not like we got gifts from every single attendee or party of attendees.

Ask whomever stayed at your house to explain. If that doesn’t work and these are gifts from your registry, some stores have a ‘registry manager’ list or thank you manager list where guests could have left their name tied to gifts with the store. For example, crate and barrel does this and can print you a list of all gifts received from the registry and names of the gifters if shared. I think some people are suspicious it will take too long or they’ll be added to a mailing list so not many of our gifters shared their name for the thank you list through the store. 😑

All of these gifts are not from the registry we registered from amazon which ships the gift automatically once they purchased it. So stressful! I’m just trying to thank you for the gift you gave me lol

Ask whomever opened them if they saw a card.

Amazon's registry shows you who sent each gift - I believe it's somewhere in the purchased gifts area, and you also get an email. I've been keeping an eye on our registries, and we have a few things from BB&B that were purchased anonymously and not shipped to us, so I'm really hoping they put a card or nametag on them if they're bringing them to the wedding!
