Doing a complete 180 on my wedding plans!

Abigail Sayler, on May 20, 2019 at 3:52 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

So, I am from WA state and I was originally planning for my wedding in Seattle but last minute wanted to do a very small ceremony due to our budget. We may have around 20 people at most. So we are planning to rent a car and get married in South Lake Tahoe, CA where he and his family grew up and where he proposed. His grandpa will be marrying us. However, I need so much information on what I need to know about being married in a different state and photographers in the area that can take amazing photos leading up to the wedding and the very short ceremony (I do not need to find a huge package that they usually offer may be only an hour or two..so maybe an amateur photographer? Trying to keep it low in $!) Looking to marry at Emerald Bay and know nothing about what's required to get married here..also looking for websites where I can get a wedding dress, been looking at fashion nova but the one I want is out of stock! Anything else you think is helpful is appreciated...

I recommend you look at the marriage license process for the El Dorado County, California area. Also, look on thumbtack for photographers in that area.

For the photographer, I suggest the Professional Photographers of America website. I found someone for 3 hours for $450. It was a bit more than I wanted, but way cheaper than the $2000 quote I got! For a dress, I recommend stillwhite.com.

Azazie has some budget friendly dresses and Lulus.Com. I wish I could help about the photographer situation but the only one I can think of is George Street Photo - they pair you up with local photographers but I'm not sure about the prices.

    Hi Abigail Sayler!

There are plenty of options for wedding dresses on the cheaper side online. David's Bridal has an 'Under $200' section on their website. You could also check out Reformation, ASOS, BHLDN, and Modcloth for dresses that aren't expensive.
