Dog in wedding

Miss.MtoMrs..K, on April 20, 2016 at 2:35 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 47

I personally can't have my dog at the wedding (sad face here) but I would have loved to if I could . Just wanted to know if any of you ladies have incorporated your pet in wedding or somehow added a little touch of them somewhere pictures welcome Smiley smile

Man I know there was a great thread on this recently, but I can't find it Smiley sad I'd love it if I could just get 1 or 2 pictures with my dog, but I know he'd instantly destroy my dress haha

Dogs are not allowed on the beach where I am getting married so it wasn't something I had to decide. We are going to try and get them into a few engagement pictures, and I put pictures of them up on the wedding website (just one each dog).

We're doing one of the acrylic cake toppers with a dog. Sophie is 11 and moves at her own pace (read: slow) so I would feel like I was holding my guests hostage while we all waited for her to meander down the aisle. I do want to get a couple of photos with her though.

We are having our beagle be the ring bearer! We are getting married outside a barn, on the grounds of a winery and it is very pet friendly.

I don't have a picture of him in the wedding (obviously, it's not until June lol) but check out this cuteness

I wanted to, but my FH insisted we get married in a church and the church said no pets. Here's my Yorkie Smiley smile

We won't be having our pup at the wedding, she's just too skiddish and doesn't like large groups of people. So we named our signature drink after her, and I got my FH a pin made from her silhouette as a surprise. I'm hoping he wears it on his vest so when he takes his jacket off she'll be there, close to his heart all night. We also did our engagement pics with her because we knew she wouldn't be there for the wedding.

We've included a lot of dogs, but when we can't, we do a blessing of the pets.

I've had couples name their tables after dog breeds, donate to rescues; one couple used dog bowls as tip cups on the bar, but they tipped the BT's and donated the tips to a shelter.

I so badly want him in the wedding. However, he is so young and probably will not behave. We are going to have his shadow on our wedding topper instead.

But here is a picture of his breed/coloring in a tux! So stinking cute

Our dog is our Ring Bearer Smiley smile It was the first detail in the wedding that FH actually got excited about. Our dog is pretty much the best behaved dog in the world, so it will work out well Smiley smile

My pup is a wild child, so I know she would jump on my dress and get muddy paw prints all over it.

Evidently the Catholic church is not a fan of dogs inside lol. I will probably have some photos taken of us together before the ceremony. He has a really cute velvet tux.

I would LOVE for my two dogs to be at the wedding, but they are not as well behaved as I would like, and we are driving to our venue which is about an hour away, so I think it would be hard to have someone watch them or stay with them Smiley sad Such a cute idea though! I'm thinking maybe if we ever do an engagement shoot we will incorporate them Smiley smile

Our reception venue is dog friendly. I talked to the photographer and we are going to get some pictures with the dogs at the reception. We also get a bridal/engagement session in our package that we don't need and asked the photographer if we could turn it into a newly married session. I really want a first family portrait with the pups.

Lucy will be in our ceremony, pictures and get to hang out at our reception for a while. We're getting married at a B&B so we have our dog sitter to keep an eye on her and then put her to bed. She's so well behaved we have zero worries about jumping, barking, etc. Probably one of the things we are most excited for.

We are currently traveling and she is less than pleased. LOL.

We wanted our two Goldens in the wedding but couldn't. So we got this wedding topper instead to show that they were there in spirit.
